I don't think Go Ahead would order an extra batch of EVs - it's probably more likely the 151 will just swap with another route, with something like the 280 using the 151's Ees? Of the routes requiring new DDs, the 99/172/280 have the same PVR as the 151. The 57 is only allocated around 8 WHVs, so wouldn't use the 151's Ees anyway if made permanent. The rest of the 151's Ees are currently at Q used on the 35, which indirectly released MHVs (from the 1) to contracts at other garages. I could see the 280 using the ex 151 with Ee's, the 131 having new BD11s to join the part 57, 152/163/164/219/413 as a largely BYD garage with just the WHVs and MEs being different. To think whether it'll be EBDs or ELs Merton's potentially to have at least three different types of production batch double deck EVs

They can't move elsewhere though until some more hybrids transfer into Q for the rest of the 1's allocation. Perhaps the YW17 EHs currently at SW? Rest of the 1’s allocation? The 1 was previously allocated some of the ex-40 MHVs when it first moved to Q, most of which have since moved to other garages. Currently Ees on the 35 are allowing the 35's EHs to cover part of the 1's allocation.

I must say whilst I like the BYD interior, I still can’t look past the design of the exterior which I can only describe as something that looks like it’s been thrown together by someone with a blindfold I’m very happy GAL have opted to order Streetdeck & Kite Electroliners in bulk now and hope that this is now their standardised type going forward, very unpopular opinion I know but I’m a massive fan of standardisation.

GAL have ordered 38 more BD11s for routes 129 and 320, and have also ordered 131 Electroliners and 53 Kites, as per LOTS. That still leaves 25 BD11s unallocated I think as the previously announced routes took them to 75 I think not including the 129. Rough calculations would be that 131 buses doesn't completely cover everything else outstanding for the 22/88/99/131/151/171/172/188/230/269/280/401/SL7 Take off 15 or so for the City's intended for the 151 I guess out of the total requirement still suggests more will be needed. Playing around with the figures, the only reasonable combination I'm could come up with for the Streetdecks was the 88,99,131,188,269,280,401. The Kites are pretty self-explanatory, 355,360,444,B16. Let's see if this prediction is any better than my vehicle type predictions! 🤣😂

The only perfect match I was able to come up with was 22/88/131/188/230/SL7 although obviously flawed as you would expect the 151 to appear on that list somewhere

I don't think it would as the vehicles would not be purchased against that contract. They may get swapped out with some of those is a possibility.

There shouldn’t be any unallocated, the first 75 for the 321 (18), 101 (10), 333 (17), 473 (10) and SL4 (20), now plus another 38 for the 129 (25) and 320 (13) The Kites I find more interesting though: 53 Kites, where for? The 355 (14), 360 (12), 444 (13)and B16 (11)? Also the 289/399/389 and R11 will be interesting, considering the shortest Kite is 10.2 and they need around 9.6m length vehicles Good to see some variety back in the GAL fleet, but don’t think it’ll last after it’ll likely become another monotony, this time of endless Wright vehicles for at least the next couple of years Suppose 9.6m BZLs could be on the cards for R2/11 (in my dreams) isn't the new E200EV launching next year? perhaps a few routes could end up with those.

I just had the 9.7m StreetLites Sullivan had on them in my mind. (But Kites are the same length but still bulkier than a classic 10.2m so they still might not be suitable)

The 299/389/399 are able to take 10.2m as well, however I don’t think they would suit 10.2m Kites will be ordered. What I assume may happen is that the 299/389/399 and R2/R11 would receive the 9.9m E200EV.

Will Goat Road (GM) remain open for operations, or will routes be diverted elsewhere? It will close pending planning approval for the redevelopment of the industrial estate which will see GM turn into a widened road entry into the redeveloped estate

I imagine the 355 probably will get an extra spare given it's apparently moving to SW and can't share vehicles with the 170 plus it's PVR of 13 puts it in a twilight zone where most tend to only receive one spare but some past routes with a PVR of 13 have received two. Hard to say which of the other routes would receive the extra spare though.
