Is there any reason why part of Battersea Park Road and Nine Elms Lane have stayed as 30 mph roads, when virtually every other TfL 30 road has been dropped to a 20 limit? Noticed this recently (despite walking along it several times a week) and was curious as to why, seems odd. Same applies for Swanson Way in Wandsworth. The irony is, Nine Elms Lane with the amount of crossings and junctions along there is probably better suited to 20 mph than many of the 30 roads converted to 20, like Clapham Common North Side or West Hill in Wandsworth for example. I believe that they've been waiting for the cycle lane schemes to go ahead to make the change simultaneously. Construction on the Battersea Park Road should be starting soon/have started, but the Nine Elms Lane ones have seemingly been indefinitely postponed. Construction on the Streatham Hill cycle lane scheme should of begun in April yet hasn't begun as of now but it didn't prevent it from dropping to 20mph. TBH, quite glad it hasn't started there as Streatham Hill has always flowed quite nicely over the years unlike Streatham High Road which has several bottlenecks that causes heavy traffic.

New additions to buses I don't like (mostly due to bad memories) followed by their workings I associate these bad memories with: SE217 (386), E271 (178), EP6 (132), DE1658 (206).

Something I've noticed on my 58 journey yesterday was that the BZL upper deck lighting gets brighter when the doors are open, and gets dimmer when doors are shut. It plays with your circadian rhythm if you're a bit fatigued as I was yesterday, but otherwise a pretty cool feature! Fairly sure this idea was taken from coaches particularly at night where saloon lights go full pelt when doors open. A nifty and subtle sign nonetheless that you can alight, especially if the iBus screen is faulty like it was yesterday evening!

I believe this feature was introduced on the Metrodecker as both the OME's at X & the Me's at AL have that feature. My recent on a Metroline OME didn't have this feature for whatever reason.

Spotted this too but now vjaska mentions it I may have seen this on 134 but to a lesser extent. I also note that there seems to be different settings. Sometimes the blue and normal lights are on all the time, sometimes it is just solid blue only which creates an interesting interior but difficult to see and there is the one that fades when the doors open. One thing you notice now as the days are shorter is how difficult it is to see the bus coming form a distance when it is dark, it is in stealth as you cannot see any interior light. You only know because of the destination display that a bus is coming. While on the subject the internal screen display which just shows 173 all the time needs to be fixed, ideally before 58 stops going to Walthamstow Central and helpful information is needed.

The 218 as it gets busier could have a double deck or two, especially in the school run. The 440, but for Bollo Road, and the low bridge at Chiswick Business Park could be a double deck The E3.....I amazed the roads it manoeuvres around South Acton to Turnham Green as a double deck.

Route 401 will use existing vehicles at BX temporarily until new electrics arrive late 2025.
Route 269 will also temporarily use existing vehicles until brand new electrics arrive late 2025
Route 99 will also temporarily use existing vehicles until new electrics arrive late 2025
This is due to these routes being gained by go ahead and moving to BX and therefore the electric buses not arriving until late 2025.

So essentially buses were purposely slowed down by 20mph roads, service headways, more mandatory bus stops, traffic light adjustments, cycle priority lanes and ISA installment and now there's complaint that bus journeys are too slow lol
