As I was heading to my mate's in London Bridge last night, I noticed Tooley Street was open eastbound with some through traffic. It irritated me that buses could be reinstated as they were planned to at the start of this year, but I thought nothing of it. Then as I was heading back home over London Bridge itself, I noticed the diversion put in place for works at the northbound carriageway of Bishopsgate at Monumnet junction; stipulated buses, cycles and taxis to only go through to the Bank junction.
TfL had been diverting cars & other motorists through the Bank junction when City of London has banned everything that's not buses or bicycles going through that junction. I'm starting to have doubts as to whether the traffic ban at Bank was done wholly to reduce accidents there. Looks like, especially with roadworks darted all over the Square Mile, that this ban is a cash cow incentive to fill up empty piggy banks.

Teenaged brats from Coopers School are throwing snowballs at buses by Chislehurst War Memorial. Unfortunately you get a lot of that in this weather and obviously police resources are stretched. Whether reporting it to the school will achieve anything I don't know? Even if the police resources weren't stretched... Kids throwing snowballs isn't exactly a police matter!!! It's snow, It's kids lighten up everyone. And for the 161 driver who had their window open... Schoolboy error. Never open the cab window when it's snowing!!

Yes it's all a bit of fun until an accident occurs eh? www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2932926/Police-warn-people-arrested-throwing-SNOWBALLS.html

Tell you what, Call 999 next time a snowball hits a bus and I assure you that you'l be told the polite police version of f**k off. Throw it at a police car and you'll get told off sure. But if we had infinite police numbers do you think they should be arresting people for it? Crack on there Mr Stalin!!! As I explained any driver with half a brain knows not to open your window when it's snowing because people like to throw snowballs. And for the really thick bus drivers (which there are plenty) centercomm even put call's out tell you not to open your window. So if you have your window open and a snowball comes in then tough poo. And the whole "Yes it's all a bit of fun until an accident occurs eh?" you could say that about millions of things in life, but hey lets ban all fun just in case an accident happens, because thats a world we all want to live in!!!

Took the 381 through Rotherhithe last night and some kids were hiding behind cars, prepped to throw snowballs at the bus. One of them attempted to throw a snowball at the driver's windscreen, but due to his poor aim he didn't even hit the bus. If that's not karmic justice, then I don't know what is!!

Nowt you can do about that (apart from plow more money into police to arrest these vicious criminals) Mean while the rest of us can show a bit of common sense by keeping the cab window shut. Stay happy Mr happy fun guy. Probably better stay indoors just in case some fun happens near you at all ever in life.

Can people not have fun? Can people not make memories? Let people have fun, you don't get snow everyday so you need to make the most of it. If anyone has an issue with people having fun in the snow then they should stay indoors and close the curtains so they can be miserable in peace.

I’ve thrown snowballs at buses before when I was younger - I even chucked them at the conductors on the 159 & purposefully aimed for a man on the top deck who had his hopper window open so feel free to slate me to death.

Bad Luke! Haha, I think it's nice to have the snow anyway. It's been several years since it last settled properly in London. It's just a shame I'm too old for snowball fights, now

And if the man had got off and thumped you would that have been fun?. Amazing how Dillon's innocuous post has attracted such a sudden response. Anyway I'm as bored now as the self proclaimed madman who started this pointless discussion!
