I may be overreacting but I feel that this person has gone a bit too far www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFdB5QfH3e0&t=7sI was alerted by a subscriber earlier about this (this video itself is old but in the users newest video there was a moment stating they would do another one) There is no reason to start making this kind of bulls**t and calling it comedy just to earn money on youtube People have a hobby : doesn't matter if it's football or buses,its still a hobby! I personally hate football but just because the majority like it and think its good doesn't mean that everyone has to like it. I find it disgraceful that they created this video And yet if you type in "awkward hobby football"-no results similar to search!! Why do bus enthusiasts always get picked on “Lewis Ham” 😂😂😂😂 this guys too funny for me to get angry at. Honestly as both Eastlondoner62 and @dan said, you shouldn’t get annoyed at what this guy is saying, if you’re proud of your hobby, don’t let some random guy put you down. He doesn’t understand what being a bus enthusiast is about, so I’d say just laugh it off at how ignorant he is rather than getting mad at him.

Like I said on the comments section of the video, some people enjoy watching/following/discussing buses with their free time. His free time is spent getting stressed out and taking the p*ss out of other people's hobbies. That is his hobbie. I know what I'd rather be doing.

On the subject of food and exercise... My next door neighbour owns the Peri Peri store on the main road. I'm entitled to go in and order whatever I like on tab and pay it off at the end of the month. Burgers, chicken, kebabs, rice, the lot. I'm too tempted with my perks to loose weight. I drink nothing but fizzy. I consume on average a 2L Pepsi a day + Lucozades. I don't suffer from any adverse affects. I don't smoke or drink, either. I have no problems loosing weight in general if I need to. I've gone from 19st (obese) to 9st (anorexic). My grazing routine means I don't need to exercise as lots of small meals rather than large meals is enough energy in short bursts to burn body fat away and keep it off.

Food and exercise... in summer I do sports 4 times a week... I'd like to go to the gym because I don't like my upper body, but the gym is so d*mn boring. Even the perk of watching hot guys work out isn't enough to entice me to return, so I remain skinny. I'd rather socialise than work out!
I'm also a bit of a snob when it comes to food :L :L Given up the fast food (it all tastes vile anyway) and trying to eat more fruit. I eat shedloads of sugar and it's very hard to curb... also lots of alcohol. I love my Belgian beers. Giving it all up would save so much money. Woobix... I used to be on the liquid sugar (one half litre bottle of Coca-Cola a day) - it ain't great for you, your teeth especially. I've lost a molar already, I don't plan to lose any more.

Better things to do than get offended by a silly 12-year-old kid. Just laugh it off... or dislike the video and move on. Trust me bus enthusiasts don't face so much brunt on the internet. Look at 'Bronies' and Sonic fans (but arguably at times it's kind of deserved )

The roadworks at Cannon Street / Eastcheap are absolutely ridiculous, they cause so much havoc during peak hours to bus routes serving the City. I respect these works must be challenging due to the complex and ancient nature of underground utilities , mains and services but the works only appear to be carried out during an extremely limited window of working hours (from observations 8-4.30).
By the time the works have been completed they would of taken nearly half a year, cannot imagine the damage this has done to performance levels, let alone patronage levels.

Is this the Gas leak that they couldn't find? so ended up digging up most of Bank, Cannon Street and Monument to find it...

I've had to walk a whole extra 30 seconds to the house. The cheek of it. Taking liberties. I'm reporting this to the Pri'minista.

I recently started working in Central London after a 5 year hiatus in the wilderness of zone 2 and was shocked to find that I can walk faster than a bus between Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross Station. On a bad day I can get between Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly faster by foot. When traffic is clear and I decide to jump on a bus to save a couple of minutes, buses are held at stops for minutes to regulate the service, leaving me wishing I had walked. In addition maps have disappeared from bus stops (everywhere) making it hard to discern what bus goes where. As a commuter all this has put me off Central London buses completely. I walk or take tube for any travel within Central London and bus is my option of last resort. The enthusiast in me loves seeing all the new shiny hybrids and electric vehicles (looking forward to seeing the tri-axle debut on the x68!), but at the end of the day I would rather have a rattly old bus that got me from A to B quickly than be stuck in traffic on a spanking new bus - and there’s nothing a USB port or WiFi can do to change that. With tortoise speeds, disappearance of route info (maps, via points on blinds, over simplification of destination blinds), routes being chopped up forcing multiple changes, and frequency cuts buses are becoming the transport of necessity rather than choice. Outside of zone 1 buses still serve a purpose, but I think they are becoming less relevant for zone 1 travel.

We also propose to spend millions on green vehicles but don't care whether people use them or not." TfL Board - "APPROVED". I doubt this actually happened btw - what we've got is a progressive accumulation of negative effects from individual policy decisions that no one has considered in the round. We are due a "bus policy" update paper relatively soon to one of the TfL Committees. I wonder if it will actually be published and instead be discussed "off line" thus forcing me into my annual FOI request to get a copy of the paper?

When I was commuting to and from Aldwych in the early 90s, I would hop on a bus to Charing X station to get my train home. Now I wouldn't even consider it, the traffic along the Strand just doesn't move. You could argue that I should have been walking such a relatively short distance anyway but it is a first hand illustration of how things have clogged up.

Very much my experience as well and you can't help wondering if there is a deliberate policy of slowing buses down to get more people onto the tube? On a more positive note I've used the 9 and 10 quite a bit recently and they still seem generally well used and very well run.

danorak Not too many years ago there is no way I could beat a bus between Aldwych and Charing Cross, but now I would always walk that journey. I walked that way yesterday and it was absolutely jammed solid

Disrupted services also include multiple 21s, 43s and 141s turning at Moorgate ...
I'm quite fed up with these diversions and constant traffic in the area. It seems like the various gas and roadworks are never ending. The gas works in Monument have been going on for months, and since closing off King William Street to southbound traffic all the services have been beyond unreliable 🙄
