That was a surprise Well done Abellio, as has been said, can't be worse than ONE or National Distress at present... Hopefully a proper colour scheme for the 315's interiors now ;D Afraid not. The 315's, 317's and 360's are due to get a deep cleaning programme while the 321's are to get a full refurb (yay!!!! ;D). Also look forward to seeing a few Abellio buses running around East London on Rail Rep to Romford ;D

On the DfT press release, it also says that Oyster PAYG will be extended to the Lea Valley region (i.e. Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Hertford East) and to Brentwood/Shenfield! Excellent news. Hopefully this will mean less pressure on the 498 bus.

Oyster In Brentwood would be one of the best things that has ever happened for me, fed up of waiting for a 498 to drive at 20mph down the A12 all the way to brentwood

I'm sure it ill relieve SOME pressure off the 498 but doubt it will make a huge impact. If anything, I'd expect the Liverpool Street services to just get busier. Possibly 8 car operations on fast services to Romford throughout the day?

Hopefully this will mean less pressure on the 498 bus. It will still be a standard train fair though, not a TfL one (not in a TfL zone) ... only difference is you pay by oyster instead of cash at the station ... will it make any difference ... do not think there will be a difference in price?

Don't care about price because it will be so more convenient for people using Oyster as they won't have to get off at Romford and get the 498 or just bunk the fare as many do ATM

Not sure myself. I know there are special fares in operation on c2c from Upminster to Grays. Could be a possibility that they look at applying something similar to say what occurs on the LO between Watford and Euston?? Soon find out ;D

Don't get too excited about the first video, it says new GA livery but it's not it's just the NXEA livery with new logos.

I'm sat on-board 315804, which has had 'National Express' painted out and they went to the trouble of going round with white tape and taping over NXEA's logo on all the route maps... Still has NXEA's website and Norwich address on it, I'm guessing the trainee sent to do it ran out of tape... Due to customer demand they've agreed to retain the ghastly livery and interior for the Bruce Grove Line ;D
