.........and hurry up and get knocked out ;D Brazil or Spain are the most likely to win it. I'm backing Brazil and have done since France 98. England hype it up as usual. Rooney is the new Pele..................err don't think so, nowhere near the legend. It really annoys me that they always banging on about how they will win it when they clearly won't. My prediction is they will win their group and then come a cropper against Ghana who I'm backing to finish behind Germany in that group.

The trouble with England is that they get Hyped up too much......and its all the press's fault. "Every England player is a world beater" - NO, they aint! Ok, the likes of Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard (even though I cant stand him) can produce that bit of magic that can change the outcome of a game, but still..... England can go out and thump the likes of (for example) Switzerland, San Marino, Japan etc etc (Hope I haven't offended anyone!) and the press call them "world beaters" "This is the team thats gonna roar to World cup victory" but when they come up against the likes of France, Italy, Brazil etc, they struggle, then all of a sudden the press go silent! As a football fan (used to play in goal) I'm looking forward to the World Cup, despite the fact I'll be at work for most of it. As an Englishman and being realistic , I think the best we'll do is reach the 1/4 finals and in usual fashion, get knocked out on penalties.

I think that I'm gonna for South Korea, who's up for some soju in New Malden? ;D I've read in the Evening Standard a couple of days ago that 'home' crowds will gather in numerous pubs and bars all over London.

They could be a dark horse so definately one to watch. MCW, you echo my words about England and Lampard. He is very overrated, best play Gerrard and Barry in the middle and tell Lampard to make his back to the pile of crap that is Chelski.

They need a Manager who has the balls (no pun intended!) to drop him, he's a one trick pony who can only play in one position - a position that Gerrard plays better in and yet he constantly gets shoved out on the left wing or as a kind of makeshift second striker, where I reckon he isn't as effective just to fit him in. Whilst on the subject of Lampard, next season, apart from penalties, watch how many goals he scores via deflected shots!! It'll be a high proportion. I could sit on here and sl*g him off all day......best not though!

The only bad thing is Pukka Pies will start making a loss if he goes ;D
