I reckon that the players put too much pressure on themselves, not to mention the large amounts of fans who are very arrogant about England and them winning the world cup. It really annoys me when they go on like they've won it before it's started. Everyone was going on how it was an excellent win for England but a team like England should be doing far better. The only positive for them is they didn't do a 'France' or 'Italy' ;D It was an excellent win......we got through ;D You're right though, we should be doing better and hopefully, the Germany game will make or break this squad. If we lose, the opening two games will come in for question again. If we win, then it's business as usual. Either way, come 17:00 tomorrow, we'll know which it'll be!! It wasn't though, because you were lucky to have that goal counted (Defore pulling defenders shirt). It was a okish win but nothing to get any of the bigger teams scared but lets see what happens. Come on Germany ;D

Come August we won't recognise Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard and Terry while they play for their clubs. Why don't these players give a toss when they play for England? I'm ashamed to be English right now

*Has been laughing since the 1st goal* I will be kind though, as much as England were extremely awful, had Lampards effort went in, it would of been more close, though I would of still seen Germany winning but only by the 1 goal. For one member on here, the disallowed goal may awaken memories of a similar 'phamton' goal that happened in the Premiership. The people to blame are the players (with the exception of David James) and yet again, the fans, for thinking that the World Cup is won before a ball has been kicked .

All of the newspapers which I delivered this morning were all banging on about how England would wipe the floor with Germany, etc. It would have been nice if just one of the newspapers could think realistically for once. Will be intresting to read what the newspapers that said that we WILL win will say tomorrow!! ;D

oh england defending was like watching my 7yr old sister play football, they wonder why the last time the world cup was won was 1966, after today I have given up on supporting england as a team. possibly if they played better in the group games they could have had better luck as there seems to be a jinx when english play german opposition.
I must say though had lampards goal counted it could have changed the game but overall englands world cup was poor.

Well.................after sinking many a beer this afternoon/evening, what a joke! After Lampard's disallowed goal!.... I dunno, something's gotta be done about this goal line technology. Obviously, if they'd gone in at 2-2 the 2nd half would of been a different story...but not to be. England's performance has been a joke right from the start. The majority are on 100k+ a week.....I wouldn't pay them £100 a week! Sorry, I'm a tad drunk ATM!

I nearly fell of my chair when I read the Saturday papers saying England will 'maul' Germany. Interesting reference giving that England's nickname is 3 Lions and Lions tend to maul their prey. Todays papers will be hounding the team and the manager.
