Great news. Arsenal has signed two new players to our squad. Mertesacker & Arterta. Benayoun who is on a season's loan from Chelsea. Not forgetting park chu young and santos. Arteta and benayoun are decent players but I didn't see much of them last season. Im quite surprised at the amount of players that have been brought in.

Altogether, we got 5 decent players and all over the age of 5 (or 25 to every other team ;D). Mertesacker has bags of experiance, is very tall and is known for accurate tackling. He is only 26 and is a regular for Germany. Andre Santos seems to be decent. I've only seen him play for Brazil at the World Cup and he wasn't too bad. He likes to attack though as shown by his 10 goals last season. Not heard much about Park Chu-Young apart from the free kick he scored at the World Cup and the fact he is South Korea's captain. Apparently, he may only be here for 2 years as he is due to serve for the military in 2013. Yossi Benyanoun is a proven Premier League player and can play in quite a few positions so adds some versatality. Mikel Arteta is a brilliant player who has excellent passing ability, has a decent shot on him and is a excellent free kick taker. It's a good start by Wenger in repairing the damage but some signings will be needed in January. I hope all those idiotic Arsenal fans who wanted Wenger gone get their words shoved back down their mouths by the new players.

The Arteta signing is brilliant for Arsenal! Absolutely inspired. The only thing you have to worry about there is the problems with injury that he, and former teammate Cahill, have both been suffering with in rcent years. Other than that, brilliant!! Can't see Benayoun being more than a squad player really while the German guy (can't spell his name ;D) is a decent buy. Think he provided us with some problems in the Champions League last season.
Overall, I think Wenger has done better business than 'Arry in this window!! We've lost a few but gained one strong character in Parker, a worry in Adebayor and a few youngsters. More importantly though, we kept Modric!!! For me that's as good as a new signing!!

Hopefully Spurs will pick up points in their next game... I guess we'll see how Adebayor performs, and hopefully Modric will settle down now... I hope he won't be unsettled until the next transfer window and destabilize the team...

He can take rosicky's place. Im surprised spurs got rid of crouch and I thought hutton was decent enough. Adebayor!!! The only thing I think of when I hear his name is the goal he scored against arsenal, when he ran the whole length of the pitch only to be pettled with allsorts including what looked like a toy stool?! ;D

Still behind us with our rugged win at Blackburn........did Arsenal win there this season?? ;D Actually, as a result of the weekends fixtures, we're now only 4 points behind United with a game in hand (Everton at home). On a run of 6 games unbeaten since that dreadful 5-1 mauling at home to City....though better than United's ;D Think this season is going to be very, very, very interesting come the New Year!!

Nope we lost at Blackburn because this year, we are hopeless. We will still need to buy players come January and well as for Mertesacker, he plays as if we've just brought him from Dulwich Hamlet

We got the likes of Eden Hazard, Hulk, Elliot Hewiit. Carlos Vela should be coming back to Arsenal from Loan at the end of the season so he should have at least a few games.

I don't really rate 'Hulk' and Carlos Vela hasn't shown much. Eden Hazard would be a good signing. A bit wishful but I would like to see both Ribery & Robben switch to us from Bayern Munich & much more likely, get Samba from Blackburn. Not only is he a beast but surprisingly, he isn't slow.

Samba would definately be a good signing. Vela (like bendtner ;D) doesn't get as many games as they should imo. I like to see them get more games if they come back. Sick and tired of Chamakh now

Signings like that would only happen in Fifa12 etc. However, sold Van Persie to Real Madrid for £37million and got Alexandre Pato for £54million to replace him. Now ain't that a good signing... ;D ;D

Priority in January should be a holding midfielder, right back & and a centre back. I let others decide on who the right back could be though I would only have them as understudy to Sagna. Centre back should preferably be Samba whilst holding midfielder should be the excellent Yann M'Vila from Rennes.
Carl Jenkinson is too inexperienced and makes too many poor decisions, Mertesacker hasn't displayed much, Squallaci - lets say no more on him and Alex Song needs back up when he is injured and/or suspended.

Hmmm, I think Samba would probably be another bad signing for Arsenal personally. While he would fit in nice at Tottenham, I don't think his play is right for Arsenal. Personally, I think Wenger should keep going for Cahill. He's the perfect candidate for the club, plays with passion, has experience and most importantly plays every game to a high standard ;D No doubt Spurs and Arsenal will be chasing both players in January as we're desperate for more centre backs with King, Dawson and Gallas all out injured or suffering knocks and niggles. Only Kaboul and Bassong are our fit centrebacks
