Just seen TA204 on 281, this one hasn't been repainted and paint is poor. Is it due to be withdrawn like TA201-203 ?
(Its a 51-reg bus, has it ever been repainted in 10 years ?)

TA205 now refurbed (just seen it on 281) as are 336-338 I think it leaves just 204, 314, 315 and 317. Not sure about 312 at TV. Saw VLE 20 on way to Eastleigh for a repaint about 10 days ago. Didny relaise that LU carry out the prep work presumably at V?

314 is confirmed as refurbed, 318 isn't. 204 is at FW still in original paintwork of 10 years ago. TLA 19 is also still on loan from S. .

TA204 paintwork looks 10 years old, so clearly repainting at contract renewal was optional. Presumably a few TAs become spare soon (some are refurb float) and the pair for 467 (which goes to Quality Line in a months time) Anyone know what happens to them (I have heard but its unconfirmed) that some of the old VA Olympians might not be upgraded for revised LEZ, so could these be replacements ?

Wasn't there a rumour that the VP's at Hounslow were to become the PH fleet which is why a few were retained?

Rapt dev uk now owns the big Manchester tram network, sold by stagecoach and announced to the stock exchange this morning. I reckon they are setting their sights on docklands light railway.

The thing is with the DLR they wont own it outright. If they win a bid to run it, they only win the license to operate the lines. The DLR is still owned by TFL. At the momnet the DLR is in the hands of Serco.

What io find strange is the bus is shown with blinds for the 463. Now forgive my ignorance, doesn't the 463 operate with Optare Solo's??

There si 1 DD journey using 1 of the 406/418's spares. So with the 467 only getting 2 DD's (PVR 2) means during the peaks there is only 1 spare DD in the depot so im a bit annoyed that the X26 is going there as it means no DD subsitutions on a route that was regulary seeing DD's and were welcomed on certain journies. Other than he 411's Versa's and what ever is possibly ordered for the 465 there will be few buses that can subsitute as the X26 can hardly use Solo's.

I am not being funny but I find it stupid when companies do not order spares or enough spare vehicle. Vehicles are not prefect and even if it isn't breakdowns anything can go wrong with the vehicle e.g could fail to start, doors wont open or close, ramps get stuck, could be involved in a rta etc.
I mean look at CT plus when they first took over the W5 only 6 of the OS's were in time for service and then on day one about 2 or three buses had faults, lucky for ct plus though they had e200s and other solo's to cover as they only had about 3 buses fit for service.
