Sorry, I hadn't been paying that much attention. Afaik the 226 is supposed to be part DDE + part DE until the electrics start. DDE20288/290 both sitting on the forecourt last night at AV. I wouldn't be bothered if the 226 was just DE operated in the end anyway. I'm not a fan of the E200 MMC and now I've driven a DDE, DME and DLE. Btw can someone tell me what DDE actually stands for.

Me personally I think the codes should be DSE 8.9 DME 9.75 DE 10.5 DLE 10.9 DXE 11.5? Btw it's amazing that our trainers think that DDEs, DMEs & DLEs are hybrids!!

My best guess would be Dual Dour Enviro. Thank you, if it does would just be silly seeing as the DME, DLE and DXE are all dual door aswell, lol. They were coded as SDE before when they were at QL so guess they changed it to DDE so you wouldn't confuse them with the 9m MMC.

Just had a look at the companies house section for London United, last year the company made a £5.8m total comprehensive loss in 2021. There are multiple reasons as to why that was which are listed in the document, however it isn't looking too good judging by the £4.8m loss made in 2020. For London Sovereign the total comprehensive loss was less at only £1.0m, down from a net profit of £485k in 2020 as shown here. (I do stress total comprehensive loss as there are various figures all over the document!) In general the financial future of the company isn't looking too great, under the 'Events after the reporting date' section it does state that as a result of the events in Ukraine, costs are expected to increase over the forthcoming years. Will look into them later, but a lot of these overseas owned companies record a loss by paying the owning company a dividend so they have no UK Corporation Tax liability. Must stress, not looked at the accounts, so not sure this is the case in this instance.

Is it true that the Wright StreetLites are too long for the 226 and thus getting DEs instead? If the StreetLites are too long won’t the E200 EVs be too long? So I guess the StreetLites will go back to there original routes and the DEs from them will be used for the 226 until the E200 EVs arrive?

After doing the official route learning (I already knew the routing) With a DDE, I think 10.8m can just about go around the route but parking issues would be a nightmare for one, especially when you need to get into passing gaps and also some turns you would end up going over the pavement depending on how people have parked.

Things such as turning circle, overhang differ between vehicle types. For example, the W15 failed a route test of 10.8m E20Ds but passed with similar length BYDs.

Got on 47085 just after 2pm at Hammersmith. Not two seconds after pulling away the driver side swipes the down ramp barriers towards Clapham Junction. Front near side bumper is crumpled and the front doors were having issues opening. Oops is an understatement when the whole bus shook from the collision.
