If RATP do retain 18, would like to see SO/BT operate some night runs on N18/N518 I moved this other hear so not to clog up results page. If the N18 moved to SO/BT then could the H14 move back to SO and the 698 move back to CP? Sorry for the late reply.

Seems that every year RATP has industrial relations issues. One wonders what’s wrong in the RATP hierarchy that this happens with monotonous regularity. I would suggest it’s the other way around. A company that has lost millions for a sustained period isn’t in a position to throw money around. Unions need to be realistic. If employees don’t like it then their are plenty of options with rival operators rather than disrupting public services at regular intervals.

What is the better garage for the 698 AV or CP? In terms of 'Dead' running CP (Parr Road) -> Ickenham Station 9.2 miles / 22 minutes -> Ferrers Avenue [West Drayton] 14.1 miles / 30 minutes AV -> Ickenham Station 11 miles / 21 minutes [blast up the A312 Hayes by-Pass - I've seen the 698 positioning on this routing before) -> Ferrers Avenue [West Drayton] 7.1 miles / 16 minutes

I’ve noticed an increase in DLE’s on 290. 5 in total yesterday. With no BE’s on 33 either yesterday, it makes me wonder why so many. Lack of BCE’s due to PVR increases? I thought some buses would have moved in by now (and I don’t mean the 2 DLE’s).

I thought some buses would have moved in by now (and I don’t mean the 2 DLE’s). There have been more OMEs in use on the 295 in the past few days including a couple that hadn’t run since the 28 was lost back in May. I still think some Xs BCEs are the likely source of new vehicles into FW but RATP seem slow to move vehicles these days. The 72 still has DEs running despite the contract renewing 8 months ago with DLEs for example. Likewise the E3 gas 60 reg ADHs despite that now supposed to 62 reg ADH and ADHs. Perhaps the next few days will tell us what the plan is but for a couple that has lost many routes in the past 18 months, the lack of available vehicles seems odd.

I happy to formally announce RATP will be the official launch customer of double deck articulated buses to be introduced on route 125. This will address the capacity required on the route as well the potential to launch on other busy trunk routes whenever practical if successful.
Yes the articulated is back!

Today the service on 65 was atrocious. Had to wait for ages just before South Ealing for the driver not to let us on. I didn’t bother with waiting and just walked further into Brentford, with also the fact that now every time I use the 65 it always terminates at Great West Road. I feel like the only reason RATP has even retained this route again is that what operator can 65 even run from?

I suspect that if the theory is true that TFL have only really asked for existing bus bids on the handed back contracts may have made it harder for other operators to bid.
