Route H98 only had ADEs for a year, effectively a stop-gap between SPs and LTs. When I saw the DLE on route 440, I wondered whether it could convert to DLE and the DMEs replace DEs on a route unsuited to DLEs? I also saw DLE30006 on route 110, but thought this batch was in the process of withdrawal. A couple appear to have been reinstated but with decals removed. Similar to the SPs on the H98 last year.

Convert the 411 to DD using the ADE 14 reg from AV and then numbers won’t be so tight. Just an idea…. Even better idea if you are upgrading a route to double deckers, put them on the 293, put the 293s DXEs on the 411 and then use the 411s DLEs elsewhere as you suggest. Have the DXEs made an appearance on the 411? Or the 465 when it was at TV?

Fair shout although 338 is already at AV for the 110 allocation and 337 recently transferred out from AV to V. Allocations are going to be tight though and the spares currently at WK for the electrics (293/4) would need covering. Pretty tight allocations at AV: 110: PVR 11 (TVR 13) 117: PVR 10 (TVR 11) 419: PVR 12 (TVR 14) H22: PVR 12 (TVR 14) Total of 43 Currently at AV: DLE30041-48/30053-61/30068-70/30292/30327-28/30332-36/30338 (29 buses) DLE30049-50 should be moving over so that makes 31, plus DLE30329-31 which are spare after the 235 converted to electrics can move making 35. If DLE30291-97 move over then that makes 42, which will fit the PVRs at AV, so it would look like this: 110: DLE30041-53 117: MCM30084-92, DLE30327-28 419: DLE30291-97,DLE30332-38 (Assuming DLE30337 moves back) H22: DLE30054-61, DLE300068-70, DLE30329-31. Though that leaves the 235 with no electric covers. Maybe some of the spares from DLE30129-141 can move over? 110 I thought was dropping/had dropped to a PVR of 10? Also I'd hope the 235 won't need electric covers long term.

😂😂just caught ADE40494 on the 220?! Pretty nice and very rare since it’s only been out for an hour, but why was the transfer needed? Now on the 258 today. This must be the first time a bus new to First has been on the route since 2006 (when the 258 was at ON)?

Have the DXEs made an appearance on the 411? Or the 465 when it was at TV? I don't believe the DXEs have ever been used on the 411, but they have had quite a few appearances on the 465. The X26's 12m Citaros have been on the 411 previously, so longer buses shouldn't be a problem for the 411.

It was ordered by First and operated under First for about 2-3 weeks before TT took over the operations. It never got First logos applied as by the time the buses arrived, the sale to TT had been confirmed.

Anyways to answer your question, it's not too far and is reasonably close to Banstead in terms of road distance compared to the Beddington garages. Sutton is bit of a stretch by road compared to the other two in Beddington
