I don't like the 465, as those Versas for the route are quite ugly, especially at the rear But the route itself is quite pleasant

I detest all the routes that come out of Ealing or Harrow at peak times because they are rammed and you can't get a seat. Routes 65, 140, 207 and 607 are the busiest at these times.

Sorry Captain Grumpy here. I am really confused by this thread - most of the things people are "detesting" are not the actual bus route. They are the vehicles or the travelling conditions at certain times of day or the fact that a route may be slow because it is very busy and has to stop frequently. I really struggle with the concept of someone just hating a bus route for where it goes. You either want to go somewhere on a route or you don't. If you don't then don't say you detest it as surely that's just a bit daft?

Should this thread even be open still? It was only yesterday someone replied to this thread after almost a year of it not being used. I thought we were not allowed to bring up old topics?

I personally choose not to use the G1 for instance, as it fiddles about and takes a long time to get anywhere, but I don't detest it.. it has its purpose like all others they just don't suit my travel patterns. Much as I obviously have an interest in the industry, I only ride buses to get somewhere not just for the sake of riding a route.

Route 58 is my most disliked route of all the ones I've done... it's not interesting at all and to top it up it uses some of the most boring buses in London!

Making a fuss over someone using detest as being too exaggerated when they just mean just mean dislike seems rather odd given the extreme hyperbole that comes out whenever anyone mentions the New Bus for London. If people can like and dislike bus models, and even individual vehicles, on aesthetic things rather than just sheer utility, why should a different standard apply to routes?
I am sure the P13 is a does a good job for its intended purpose, in particular to people in the Bellenden Road and Underhill Road areas where it provides an essential link into the local town centres. But as the only link from Streatham into south-east London I often used to use it to Peckham and even New Cross for which it was an incredibly frustrating service. So I do dislike it because of where it goes, as for a long-ish journey connecting major parts of south London it keeps leaving the main roads to serve those local areas to get stuck behind parked cars or having to pull in to let others pass etc.

The 25 is the heart and soul of East London and without it East London would die. But I still hate the route for... Various reasons. It's just like the human body- healthy food is often disgusting (who likes brussel sprouts here? Artichokes?) but you have to have it or you'd die. It's like that. Actually, now that I think about it, Stagecoach is the heart of East London, the bus routes are the circulatory system and the 25 is the artery that keeps you alive (I'm sure there's (more than) one that if it (they) gets cut you die. The jugular vein in your throat?)
