The 358 can be busy throughout for lots of the day. I think DDs would be very welcome on the route particularly down to Farnborough and Green Street Green. Indeed, and it can provide a people with a less-crowded, but longer alternative to the 227 between Crystal Palace and Orpington. I also tend to find the 358 quicker between Bromley and Orpington than the 61 as it doesn't get caught in the traffic around Locksbottom, likewise the 208 takes a bit longer.

The BN to BS link is not fully lost as the 119 links those two, so the N3 could turn right out of Westmoreland Road into Masons Hill and onto Orpington, or if not do a loop at Bromley South clockwise in both directions via Masons Hill, Kentish Way, Elmfeild Road, Bromley High Street back to Masons Hill. A quick look at Google Map shows the left turn from Kentish Way into Elmfeild Road is allowed by buses, even though i dont know of occurance its been used, but could have been by buses Not in Service. I wonder if a modified routing in Bromley could be used as that would certainly be an improvement. The N3 would probably end up being one of London's longest night routes if it gained that section, as it's got about half an hour's running time on the 358. I also wonder if the Westmoreland Road routing of the N3 could be used if there was ever interest in double-decking the 358. Shortlands would still have the 227 and 367 to cover it, and the 227 could always receive a slight frequency increase to compensate. I suggest the 358 over the 227 as the 358 already goes along Hayes Lane and through Park Langley, so wouldn't be particularly thrown off its line of route whereas the changes to the 227 would probably make it less direct (and longer end-to-end) as well as requiring a reconfiguration of the 227 through Beckenham. The longer 358 would benefit from deckers more anyway. The N3 would become Londons longest route at 23 miles long beating both the N89 and X26 by 2 miles.

The 116 or 117 should be 24hours to connect staines,ashford,feltham/bedfont hounslow both routes connect these areas and the 116 runs all night on new years eve and every run was busy plus it also connect with the 285 at feltham for Heathrow and Kingston and N9 in Hounslow for central london

The 222? Its close proximity to Heathrow must make it worthwhile and maybe extend the night service to Richmond via West Mid Hospital and then then the H37 which also avoids the low bridge.
