They say this new bus will rattle less.... I have an easy solution to that problem.... Just build them like they used to!!!! I'm currently driving a 12.5 year old London Central LDP (Plaxton Pointer/Dennis Dart) and it rattles infinitely less than my usual 1 year old E200.... It just feels so solid!! Darts in general are nicer to drive. Ok the esteem ones rattle abit more but are still more solid then an enviro 200. The main rattle from the newer e200s is the cab door cause some idiot replaced the little rubber bits with a magnet which falls out easily, to the point bus 181 at MB has a cable tie with a duty card folded up put there by me to cover up the magnet to stop the door from banging as your driving along, plus has paper everywhere else to stop the plastic in the door from rattling too and another few duty cards folded in the cab partition behind the drivers seat.

The Esteems are also faster due to the lighter body - a far better & underrated bus than the Enviro 200's.

Nothing to do with the Esteems but I believe the B6LE Sprytes were so fast due to having a light body also. The wright crusaders never felt as fast, im talking when new here also

Some e400s do it, because the assault screen is an 'after thought' the top part of it bangs against the frame around the door lol. I have to put the top lock on to minimize the banging.

Those london spec side indicators look interesting. Hope they're as effective as the current e400 as they're nice and visible when on.

Seen some closer pictures of that vehicle and it's in Abellio moquette.

Enviro400 MMC demo at Barton Park (photo by EHBusman1958 on Flickr) Note the TWO tree deflectors. Apparently going to be going to Yellow Buses, so that could be good news for London United.

According to the latest LOTS the Proto type fully diesel MMC E400 will not necessarily be going to Abellio, despite having its interior.

Thanks for the input, I really like the sound of these new E40Hs. They have a nice deep tone
