Only that May was the month that was stated by Optare that there would be a launch event. I assume that's the bus on its way to be possibly launched. Not encouraging that it has to go by low loader.

Perhaps they had no engine supplier now Wrightbus has hooked up with Mercedes, and the ISBe is in the gorgeous E400 MMC Hmmm.. looks like a Plaxton President, but with the wipers from an East Lancs Mylennium... Interesting windows upstairs. Only two hopper windows towards the front? Sad to say it looks dated, despite the stickers trying to disguise it

Maybe we will see some more variety in London instead of all orders being for E400 and the wrightbus in terms of double deckers.

Encouraging to see that it is double-doored. I wouldn't have been surprised if Optare walked away from the London market. Interesting angle on the rear of that bus. Impossible to tell if it looks dated, given how impossible to judge the front it is! I will reserve judgement until then and until we have ULW figures.
My guess is that its Enviro-esque with an unfavourable ULW.

I guess A could go for these, but I don't think there is a Euro6 version of the DB300 out (that's why the StreetDeck is Daimler)... I think it's Optare's last throw of the dice when it comes to deckers... the Rapta sank without trace, and this looks dull

It's a shame they're late to the New Bus party... Perhaps CT Plus may buy some replacements for the aging 52-reg's on the 388... and this time, fit them with proper blinds pls

My worry is when they state the bus weighs less than 10 tonnes to save fuel and i do hope they dont turn out like Omnidekkas!

Personally, I'm shocked at how awful it looks- it's even worse than a Gemini 3
