- I'll convert all single routes to double decks.
I suppose you use convertible double deckers for routes with low bridges or do you make all low bridges like tower bridge, so they raise when a DD is coming, lol?? which would be a massive inconvenience. Haha. How would you implement that? Just merge the top deck with the bottom one and make it into one LONG bus ...Just for it to go under one bridge

A couple more I forgot including one or two more wacky ones and a few others have mentioned:
Introduce one interior for all TfL buses regardless of operator - 1980's interior (sorry guys lol)
Re-introduce proper liveries, not this boring red nonsense
Explore a possible extension of Tramlink to Sutton from Wimbledon
Reintroduce Citaro Artics on the 507 & 521
Remove the 20mph limits throughout Islington
Explore possible express services similar to the X68

One basic simple thing I would do is to re-introduce indivdual timetable leaflets on the buses

Seeing as the LT's are already out in abundance, introduce 'proper conductors' and more revenue hit squads.

I would like to open London's first heritage railway which run from Brentford to Southall via the Brentford Branch Line. I would like to build a few bridges over Thames in East London. So people could get from East London to south-east London and Vica versa. Because at the moment there is none. Make Hammersmith Bridge Stronger. Have every Bus station and Bus Stop with Countdown. Have a machine where you can update your Oyster card near bus stops.

I'd only remove cash fares if carnet tickets were bought back. Child fares would also be bought back, sorry kids but no more free rides. All LT's would be crew operated on journies commencing between 06.00 Mon-Sat/09.00 Sunday and BH and 22.00 daily. I'd seriously look at extending Tramlink to Bromley and Sutton but I'm not convinced about the cost effectiveness of a widescale tram network. I'd look at expaning the LO/LU and DLR networks as much of it is already at full capacity. Employ the largest possible bus on most routes, double deckers or 12m single deckers, possibly even reintroduce artics on certain routes but outside of Central London. Introduce a network of orbital limited stop services, also express routes into Central London, particularly for areas with no railway option. A complete overhaul of the nightbus network with limited stop services to the outer areas. Have a slightly more flexible bus network where not all journies have to run end to end regardless of demand and have extensions at certain times or on certain days in accordance with demand, such as the summer Sunday extensions discussed on here recently/ More bus priority measures, safer facilities for cyclists and a 24/7 congestion charge. Reduce air polution with more all electric buses and possibly trolleybuses. Banish rickshaws from the West End

I would invest more in the Bus Network including:
-having contracts that pay bus drivers more than tube drivers. -Reward for companies that have excellent customer service (e.g. handling curtailments better) -Enforcement (i.e. actually getting someone to do something about littering on buses)

Build new crossings over Thames at Woolwich & Gravesend. Scrap tolls at Dartford Crossing. Build new road link from Kidbrooke to Tibbets Corner underground.
Redraw night bus network , and insert new express services parallel to metro rail services out of mainline London stations.
Make Piccadilly Line service from Uxbridge to Acton every 8 mins , Acton to Hthrow T4 every 8 mins, Acton to Hthrow T1235 every 4 mins.
Bring back more Green Line coach networks.
Introduce segregated and separate bus & cycle lanes operating 24/7

Abolish the current tendering system and bring all London Bus operations into the public sector directly under TfL as contracts and leases expire.
Introduce a standard interior.
Have mobile teams of passenger assistants able to assist people at particularly busy stops and travel to bus stops near incident sites when bus operations are affected.(In the same way inspectors jump into the breach nowadays when required)
Re-order the original order for 60 or so Hydrogen buses that was crudely shelved by Boris with nothing more than a lame soundbite and no evidence to explain why.
Shelve driverless tube trains plans, keep a good number of tube ticket offices open and employ MORE staff to deal with the increase in passenger numbers.
Save Vauxhall bus station.

I would make a lot more of the riverbus services : bring them totally into the Travelcard/Oyster system, and introduce a new Thames Clipper service between Purfleet and Greenwich calling at piers at Purfleet, Erith, Dagenham, Thamesmead, Woolwich Arsenal, Thames Barrier, North Greenwich and Greenwich.
I'd also expand on the Crossrail concept : certainly introduce Crossrail 2 between the West Anglia lines and the South West lines from Wimbledon, but also a Crossrail 3 from the Watford-Euston line across London to Waterloo, then along the Richmond/Twickenham line, and the Hounslow loop.
More inner London tubes would be good too : certainly a Bakerloo extension from Elephant to Camberwell via Walworth - then two branches, one to call at Denmark Hill, East Dulwich, Dulwich Library, Horniman Museum and Forest Hill, the other to Peckham Library, Queen's Road Peckham, a station under New Cross Road to serve both New Cross Gate and New Cross stations, Deptford Bridge and Blackheath Royal Standard. I'd also like to see the Victoria projected to Herne Hill.
On the roads, I'd ban all lorries from the Congestion Charge area during Congestion Charge operating hours. I'd have a major expansion of electric/hydrogen powered buses in what is roughly zone 1, with an ideal of 100% hydrogen/electric vehicles with the exception of Heritage route 15. Which I'd expand to include some vehicles other than RMs - and also expand the concept to include two suburban Heritage services - a 65H from Brentford to Richmond via Kew Gardens, and a 188H from North Greenwich to Greenwich Cutty Sark. And all three routes would be promoted heavily.

Get cracking on Crossrail 2, start investigating Crossrail 3 (NW - SE - pick any route). Extend Crossrail 1 to Ebbsfleet/Bluewater. Bakerloo Line extensions to Hayes and Dartford via Bexleyheath New orbital rail/tube lines across east/south-east London to cross river (Chingford-Bromley North via Stratford and Eltham?) Extend GOBLIN/Hammersmith & City Line and/or C2C from Barking to Abbey Wood via Thamesmead DLR to Erith/Crayford from Royal Docks SE London suburban tram network to be centred on Eltham (linking North Greenwich, Bromley, Bexleheath, Sidcup, Lewisham) - look at doing this in other suburban areas.
---
Extend river buses to Erith (even Greenhithe?) bring them into Travelcard scheme Sell Emirates Air Line or bring it into Travelcard scheme Pedestrian and cycle bridges between Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf, Canary Wharf and North Greenwich, North Greenwich and Royal Docks.
---
Network of segregated cycling routes starting with central London bridges and junction priority for cyclists Cycle hubs at mainline/tube stations with parking, repair and retail facilities.
---
Make fares simpler - reduce rail fare zones to three with ultimate aim of bringing in one flat fare across London. Freeze bus fares at £1.50 single for entire mayoral term - but with a daily cap of £2.90. Further expand bus network to fill gaps. Introduce peak time express buses and express night buses, bendies on some outer routes. Bus lane to be enforced 24/7. Discuss incentives to promote public transport use for major retail venues, sports events, music/arts venues - as per London 2012.
---
Reintroduce western congestion charge zone. Make it run 7 days per week. Tax private car parking spaces. Introduce "zone 2" congestion charge, between north and south circular Introduce "zone 3" congestion charge to M25. Abolish tolls on Dartford tunnel. Give TfL all London-area rail services. Expand TfL board to take in surrounding counties. Put buses in surrounding towns under TfL contracts.
---
If I couldn't do all that, I'd settle for fixing the traffic lights outside North Greenwich station.

Rename Transport for London back to London Transport. Enable other manufactures like Alexander Dennis and Optare to build their double decker bus with 3 doors and 2 staircases to compete with the New Routemaster manufactured by Wrightbus. So operators can decide what bus type to order for a route which specifies 3 door and two staircase bus. Support and endorse First Group's alternative proposal of NGT in West Yorkshire because of the New Routemaster. Have a two door (front, middle) New Routemaster built so operators can buy the New Routemaster for the suburban routes. (Yes I seen there were already plans...) Introduce tri-axle buses on route 25 to increase capacity. Enable more commercial services to enter into London boundary and require them to have contactless bank card readers. Freeze the £1.50 bus fare and price caps because millions are fed up of high fares. Ban diesel buses operating in Central London with the exception of vintage buses. Return of artic buses for some routes served by New Routemaster. Give London Councils control of London Transport services. Change move the London boundaries to the M25 ring. Have a Grand Prix event with double decker buses of many types. London independence from United Kingdom and make it part of the Crown and have the London Transport roundel as the flag of London.
