I might upset some people but when it comes to extensions/cuts/withdrawls, could we have a rule where people MUST state the reason as to why they are making that change in the first place. 'rockorange' - any chance you can read the above and then adhere to it rather than drawing lines on maps please?

Rotherhithe Tunnel not on the table and Tower Bridge can be a pain in rush hour.

A thoughtful stab at an X route:
X40, limited stop Heathrow T5 Heathrow Central then fast the the M4 spur, M4 and the A312 The Parkway (Bulls Bridge Tesco) The Parkway, Uxbridge Road (i.e. Hayes by-pass rbt) Yeading, Willow Tree roundabout Northolt Station then all stops via route 140 to Harrow bus station, returning to limited stop operation as follows Northwick Park Hospital Kenton Station Kingsbury Station Burnt Oak Broadway/Stag Lane Edgware Community Hospital Burnt Oak Broadway/Deansbrook Road Edgware High Street Edgware Station Hale Lane/Deans Lane roundabout Apex Corner Stirling Corner then all stops via route 107 to New Barnet Station (idea of extending limited stops to Enfield considered but would probably take the route beyond being reliably operable...! Also, bus from most parts of Enfield to Cockfosters/Oakwood/S'gate for the Piccadilly Line would provide a comparable journey time)
0500-2400, but with early journeys towards the airport, first one probably leaving New Barnet at 0315-ish.. whatever gets people to the Airport for 5. x15 Heathrow-Edgware for most of the day every day, x30 going on to Barnet (hourly Sundays, very early and late). Decision to serve local stops in the Northolt area takes some weight off the 140. As well as the airport link it provides a direct link from the Barnet area to Edgware Community Hospital, along with a Barnet-Edgware short cut to the 107 via B'wood.

Good idea for the X40. It should stop at Borhamwood too.
EDIT: Looks like someone liked my idea for once!

X65 From Ealing Broadway to Chessington World Adventures Stopping at: - South Ealing
- Brentford
- Kew Bridge
- Kew Gardens
- Richmond
- Petersham
- Ham
- Kingston
- Surbiton
- Hook
- Chessington North Station
- Copt Gilders
- Chessington South Station
X65 is a express route that would provide relief for the 65 and link Ealing with Chessington during the day because at the moment there is no such link.

What if the route went from Surbiton to Hook via Tolworth as well? Or would that make it slightly too long?

Take it to Heathrow so tourist can have fun after a 8 hour flight. Or extend routes 111 or 285 from Kingston to Chessington. Tip: Do you mind using the quote button so people can know who you are talking.

Tip: Do you mind using the quote button so people can know who you are talking. I'm using a phone so it is complicated. As for your ideas, the 111 is long enough. Last time I went on there, it took about 2 hours doing the whole route. The 285 should for Teddington but, the X65 should still.
