View AttachmentOk new route: Willesden to Barnet operated by metroline either AC, EW or PB Willesden bus garage Neasden North circular road Staples corner Brent cross hendon central mill hill circus highwood hill totteridge and whetstone barnet Links willesden and neasden to hendon central, T&W and barnet, 113 routing which will be relatively fast, so the length is mitigated to an extent. But could also be an express route if its too long to be standard and you can extend to enfield. I actually think its a nice route and wouldnt be fantasy if theres patronage. Quite lengthy to Barnet so I think Edgware-Willesden via the points you said and from Mill Hill to Edgware would make sense. An Express could continue to Enfield as you mentioned

EXPRESS ROUTES A few ideas I've had for limited stop express routes, some of which have been discussed before, but this is the fantasy thread.
EDGWARE TO ENFIELD Calling at all stops via current 384 to Stirling Corner, then Barnet Hospital, High Barnet Stn, New Barnet Stn, Cat Hill Roundabout, Oakwood Stn and Enfield Chase Stn. Could possibly be extended to Chingford Station calling at Southbury Road/A10 Junction and Ponders End.
STRATFORD TO BARNET Calling at Leyton Stn, Bakers Arms, Walthamstow Central, Bell Corner, Crooked Billet, Meridian Water, Silver Street Stn, Green Lanes, Arnos Grove Stn, Whetstone and High Barnet Stn.
WALTHAM CROSS - NEWINGTON GREEN Calling at A10/Carterhatch, A10/Southbury Road (avoiding Enfield Retail Park), Enfield Town Stn, Green Lanes/Green Dragon Lane, Hedge Lane, Palmers Green Triangle, Green Lanes/NCR, Wood Green Stn, Turnpike Lane Stn, Harringay Green Lanes Stn and Manor House.
ILFORD - BRENT CROSS Calling at Gants Hill Stn, Charlie Brown's, Waterworks Corner, Bell Corner, Blackhorse Road Stn, Tottenham Hale Stn, Tottenham Bus Garage (not serving 7 Sisters or West Green), Turnpike Lane Stn, Alexandre Park, Muswell Hill Broadway, East Finchley Stn and Henley Corner.
Also, why not re-introduce the X43 just to add to the fun!

I think the Stratford to Barnet could be better as a Chingford to Barnet instead as the same but from Leyton to Walthamstow and then to Chingford

277/N277: rerouted from Mile End to Barking Station via route 25/425 to Forest Gate, Upton Park and 238 to Barking. Introducing new links within East London.
D5: New bus route between South Quay and Shoreditch via route D8 between South Quay and Crossharbour, 277 to Holcroft Road and 26 to Shoreditch. Last stop is Admirals Way and to stand on Matsmaker Road (new stand) and then turn back to Crossharbour via Lighterman’s Road and then to Millharbour with the first stop to Shoreditch being South Quay Station stop C
D7: POSSIBLE extension to Leytonstone via 277 to Holcroft Road, 388 to Stratford City, Stratford and then 257. Olympic Park and Here East getting new links
277: Barking to Dalston Junction D5: South Quay to Shoreditch D7: Poplar, All Saints - Mile End or Leytonstone N277: Barking to Islington, Angel
277 frequency increase D5 operated by double decks D5 now every 30 minutes during the nights everyday to replace N277 between Crossharbour and Mile End

It would just duplicate other routes! The D7 idea is also pretty random as the 339 provides a Leytonstone link via a different route. I don't mind suggestions about NEW routes but all this tinkering for tinkering sake is just daft and the routes would be so different you might as well go through whole hog and renumber them.

I would quite like to see it replace the old 40 between Aldgate and LB, but its not my area so I can't say anything. I would, going back to the extension to Barking be concerned about traffic round the NCR.

Yup Yup I understand your point which is why its in the fantasy thread - I had proposed for ideas for places like Green Street/East Ham/Barking to Hackney areas but I really did not think it over. D7 was to relieve some of the 277 passengers beyond Mile End and make new links like Canary Wharf to the Olympic Park although looking at it now the D5 would do the same job

I have more ideas I wrote about for the 15 and 115 which involved an extension on the 115 and reroute on the 15 but I still need to finalise if. Its probably obvious though as I feel especially with the 15, many have suggested the same thing.

Ideally I would suggest the following:
Route 10: Hammersmith - Archway Original Route, Covering Route 390 to Archway like Route 10, has previously done.
Route 73: Extend Oxford Circus to Victoria Covering Current Route 390.
Route 390: Discontinued
Route 23: Wembley Stadium - Lancaster Gate Previously on consultations.
Wembley Stadium Stonebridge Park Craven Park Harlesden Kensal Green Ladbroke Grove Westbourne Grove Paddington Lancaster Gate
Could also Introduce a Night Route N23: Wembley Stadium - Hammersmith
Following on from Lancaster Gate: Marble Arch Oxford Circus Picadilly Circus Haymarket (Following N97) Green Park Hyde Park Corner Knightsbridge South Kensington Earls Court West Brompton Charing Cross Hospital Hammersmith (N97)
N97: Discontinued
340: Harrow - Kingsbury Circle Merged with Route 303 from Edgware
303: Discontinued
H12: Extend Stanmore to Elstree, Centennial Park Instead of Route 324.
324: Stanmore - Brent Cross West Once development is finished, be good extension. Do not extend to Elstree, Centennial Park.
258: Wembley Central - Watford Junction Like its previous proposal, but to keep the route to Watford Junction. Covering Route H17.
H17: Discontinued

H17: Discontinued I’ve seen a lot of posts over the past few months suggesting the 258 should replace the H17. I used to live along the H17 route during the time it was extended to Wembley Central. I seem to recall the Sudbury end of Chaplin Road being tricky to navigate even for shorter single deckers. Has anything changed that makes double deck operation feasible?

The H17 now uses 10.9m DLE’s so I’d imagine something must of changed if it was tricky before with smaller vehicles?

I haven’t been on the H17 for a while, last time I was a regular user was about 20 years ago. Changing from the 92 at Sudbury Hill for an H17 to Harrow during the morning peak was hit and miss. Buses were packed and sometimes there wouldn’t be any room. I think the H17 was every 20 minutes back then so it was quite a wait for the next one. I would have really appreciated the H17 being decked at that time! In the end it was more reliable to change at Sudbury Town and leg it across Butlers Green for a 182.

Link sthe business parks to harrow weald, pinner and south harrow, which is more useful than 324 links imo. With the 23, i like the route but i would change at the western end, so it serve church road neasden station and underpass and brent park, then maybe extend to wembley. The 340 is the only one i disagree, just because of the route that its merged with. prefer the 384 tbh. 258 route looks good but it would continue straight on harrow hill and not turn to serve south harrow.

Were there any real reasons given for why the original 23 proposal didn't go ahead as everything apart from the associated change to the 332 did get carried forward in that consultation.
