I actually think this could do very well and selfishly it’s a route I’d love to drive I’d actually quite like to drive a Westerham to Orpington route via Brasted, Sundridge, Riverhead, Dunton Green, Polhill, Badgers Mount and Chelsfield Village And I wonder if there’s scope to extend the 464 from Tatsfield over the 594/595 (can’t remember which!) to Westerham Why was the old 431 withdrawn again? I remember having a ride on it (as well as doing the old 402 before it was cut back) and both times, there were decent loads, especially on the 431 which was pretty busy I think it just very quietly didn’t return after being suspended during covid. The loadings may have been decent but what was the age range of the clientele? I know when I used a 402 to and from TB and Bromley North the passengers were generally mostly elderly It’s a real shame there aren’t stronger links between border towns in the SE corner. I think a decently timed service could work quite well, particularly if Khan forces through his ULEZ proposals

Some more South London based fantasy routes 92 extended to Rainham, via Gravesend, Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham 246 extended to Edenbridge via Hosey Hill and Crockam Hill. 320 extended to Sevenoaks via Westerham and Brasted 464 extended to Hurst Green via Titsey and Oxted 119 extended to Gatwick Airport, via A23 until Horley then express to Gatwick on the M23 466 extended to Godstone Village I certainly think Godstone could do with a dedicated bus link to Caterham Station, timed to connect with trains and with through ticketing. But now we really ARE veering off into fantasyland! Your 320 idea would revive a link that was once provided by Green Line route 705, which used to run between Sevenoaks and Bromley via Westerham on its way to London Victoria and Windsor. It's a pity Transport for London did not step in to replace the 402 when Arriva withdrew (journeys to Sevenoaks schools could have operated as route 622). Although paying £1.75 to travel from Bromley to Sevenoaks may be asking a bit much.

It's the closest a tfl bus route goes to Gatwick. Not sure if you meant the 492 for your first proposal, unless you advocate a massive extension from Ealing Hospital to Rainham Yes, you’re right on both 😬

Had lunch in Harry Ramsden then Route 12 to Eastbourne back to London on train

414 extended to Putney Common 11 extended to Putney Bridge 11, 19 & 414 Frequency increase 22 Withdrawn N22 Renumbered N414 Not a fan of these ideas Withdrawing the 22 means no routes serve Berkeley Square. The 22 and the 414 follow different routes between Putney and Fulham so New Kings Road loses its link to Putney Common. The only way to solve this is to divert the 414 via New Kings Road. The 22 is a well used route so should be kept Your 11 idea isn't the worst of ideas however I don't deem it necessary. I do think the 414 can be binned and the 14 given a frequency increase, the 414 is useless because it duplicates the 14 for most of its route. People who want the chopped section of the route can change for the 6 at Hyde Park Corner.

Words like fresh air, useless & no purpose make no sense when describing routes, particularly in London. Describe it as lightly used or something along those lines if that’s what you think

People who want the chopped section of the route can change for the 6 at Hyde Park Corner. The 414 isn't neccessarily useless but would survive with a frequency cut. I rode the route today from HPC to Fulham and the loadings on the 14 and 414 both were absolutely pathetic, however there are still plenty of busy times of day. Like vjaska said above terms like "fresh air" and "useless" are silly 99.9999% of the time - I did see a 14 southbound with literally zero people on board though!

381 withdrawn between Waterloo and London Bridge. Extended to Holborn via the 521. To replace the 521 (instead of the 133 replacing it)
C10 rerouted between Waterloo and Bermondsey via the 381. Retains the link from the Rotherhithe area through Southwark, and provides quicker journeys from Rotherhithe to Lambeth/Millbank/Pimlico than going through E&C
45 extended to Canada Water via route C10 to Tower Bridge Road, route 188 to Canada Water. Provides new links on Walworth Road and retains links in the Borough area to Canada Water. Only disadvantage is Abbey Road losing its bus link (45 can't go there because it is DD)
This provides Canada Water with a lot of new links like to Camberwell, Brixton on the 45 that can't be easily done on the tube (would be better if Brixton had an overground station), plus new links into the City of London, like St Paul's area.

Considerably wealthy area but there are areas of less wealth which have to make do with the skeleton service Go Coach and Arriva have left. Lots of school routes though. When I used the 431 it wasn’t busy at all. Age profile , irregular timings, no Saturday service I think at the end ? It is a shame - although the town has decent rail links.

If you look on streetview you can see the height, 15ft.

If you look on streetview you can see the height, 15ft. However it's an arched bridge so that might prevent DD's on the route. Otherwise what else is preventing the C10 from being DD?
