How the hell he survived that is beyond me. Wishing him a very speedy recovery!! The man is incredible. He survived a serious road accident in 2003 that resulted in a number of titanium bolts being put into his forearm. He then survived that monster of a shunt in Canada a few years back and now he's escaped with his life after this rally shunt. Robert Kubica = Terminator! There is increased optimism about his career now. The surgery he had on his right arm and hand appears to have been successful although the true extent of this success will not be known for a week or so. Just reading that his hand had been medically severed (two of the four main nerves between arm and hand were severed which apparently means the hand is medically classed as severed) sends chills along one's spine. But, as I say, the surgery appears to have gone OK and there is optimism that Kubica could be back in an F1 cockpit within the year. Realistically, he should probably forget about racing in 2011 and focus fully on getting himself fit for 2012 Of course, that does mean there is quite a prime spot open at Renault and I do hope Boullier sticks to his statement about Bruno Senna and gives him the drive. The HRT was a heap of junk and I believe Senna is far better than that car made him out to be. We shouldn't forget that had Honda not pulled out in 2008 then Senna would have been sitting in the car that won the 2009 championships; that's how highly he was regardless by the Honda/Brawn team And as for the new cars.... I'm somewhat underwhelmed by the Ferrari. After they came so close last year I expected something a bit different from them. The F150 just seems a little meh to me The Red Bull RB7 is a logical evolution of the fastest F1 car of 2010. I see no reason why Red Bull should not pick up where they left off I'm liking the McLaren MP4/26. Obviously the eye-catching feature are those funky inverted sidepods but the car looks pretty good overall I think. Expecting big things from McLaren I haven't really looked closely at the other cars yet but I do note the interesting exhaust positioning on the Renault. That's going to take some work to make it work but it could prove extremely beneficial. And finally, I have to say I really love the Lotus T128. It looks like such a massive improvement over the T127 and as a Lotus fan I'm really excited about what Kovalainen and Trulli could achieve in 2011

Personally as a McLaren Mercedes Fan the MP4-26 looks the best looking out of the 2 rival teams dispite the mention Sidepods... However, looking at the R31 Lotus Reanult they hadn't bothered with the livery i'd would of prefer it to be in the 2010 livery... But on the whole the cars do look good. Lets hope the MP4-26 will be the fastest car in Bahrain Practice, Qualifying and Grand Prix... High hopes for Hamilton and Button... This year another Prost and Senna prospect Any news on the Red Bulls 2011 season test driver?

But in a few practice sessions this year he will replace Jaime Alguersuari or Sebastian Buemi in the Toro Rosso.

I wonder if we will be going to Bahrain?........ If Bernie has his way I'd say no! Think he's given the situation until Tuesday to sort itself out before he cancels it, well, that's what I heard on the radio today

And by about Hungary Ricciardo will have replaced either Alphabet or Buemi in the race team....... Depends on their performance Of course. It's not down to the whims of those paying the bills at all I'd give even money that Ricciardo is in a Toro Rosso by Hungary unless Alphabetti or Buemi have won all the races up to Hungary..... Nick Heidfeld getting Robert Kubica's seat is the only sensible outcome. Renault going into the season with two second year 'rookies' simply wouldn't make any sense. But I still maintain its tough on Bruno Senna And Bahrain? Quite frankly, the race probably shouldn't go ahead. It should probably be postponed and twinned with Abu Dhabi at the end of the season. However, F1 has an unfortunate history of sticking its head in the sand when it comes to religious or political problems in areas in which it races. Don't forget F1 raced in South Africa long after that country had become an international pariah due to apartheid

The best decision really. The Bahrain Grand Prix is the baby of the ruling Bahraini Royal Family so it would always have been a target for protestors. Maybe Bernie will find somewhere else to shoehorn it in this season
