I reckon Rubens Barrichello will now cling on to the Williams seat and see out his 20th F1 season Goes to show what I know Anyone else think having a Senna sitting in a Williams-Renault is going to feel a little creepy? Good move from Sky. I'm probably going to be watching all the races there this season although I may well make a point of checking out the BBC's highlights. Be good to see how two different commentary teams see things i feel for them who dont have sky or virgin as they are only going to get to see about 10 of the races sky should never have got the contract thanks I do have some sympathy for those without Sky or Virgin. However, the BBC is still going to be showing 10 races live (including Monaco, Silverstone and Spa) and for those races they do not show live, extended highlights will be shown at either 2pm or 5pm (depending on the time zone in which the race takes place). Radio 5 Live is also covering every race live. Those without access to Sky's coverage are not being completely ignored And if the BBC hadn't shared the contract with Sky then F1 would have completely disappeared on to Sky and the BBC would have had nothing; the BBC could not continue with the deal as it was structured

Same. But I've also noticed that back in Michael Schumacher's Hay Day at Ferrari he was managed by Ross Brawn and now Michael Schumacher is still under management at Mercedes GP.. ;D

Willi Weber

After a recent test, Rubens Barrichello has been confirmed as an Indycar racer for this year! Go Ruby - I hope he will carry a lot of F1 supporters and fans of his with him.

Really pleased that Rubens Barrichello has been able to find a seat that will keep him racing to a high standard since he clearly still has the passion and the belief in himself to do this. Really looking forward to following him in Indycar this year although just so long as he doesn't beat my favourite driver, Dario Franchitti
For those who don't know, Barrichello is joining KV Racing. I guess the equivalent F1 team would be a Mercedes or a Lotus - a team that can win but isn't consistently at the top. The top teams in Indycar are Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske but this is a good year for Barrichello to be joining Indycar. There is a brand new chassis - codenamed the DW12 after the late Dan Wheldon who did much of the development work on it - and this should help to even up the field a little bit; at least until Ganassi and Penske's financial might eases them away from the pack! But race wins should be possible for Barrichello provided he can get on the pace quickly
If you want to catch Barrichello and the rest of Indycar in action, the first race is on March 27th and it is around the Streets of St Petersburg in Florida. Sky Sports are showing every race live with the first race expected to be shown on Sky Sports' new F1 channel although following races will be spread over the other Sky Sports channels

Agreed - The Chain is the F1 tune (and it was always odd not hearing it when ITV had the coverage). Still this was not as bad as I thought it might, and the archive footage is good.

For me a Formula One theme tune needs to make you excited and the Sky theme tune for Formula One just doesn't, though the archive footage is great.

The track is OK and the archive footage is excellent but as has been noted; it's not The Chain. I think I'll be watching the intros on the BBC before switching to the Sky coverage!
