I'm not sure though I am curious as there's been no news other than a couple of buses delivered to Heysham so it'll be intresting to see if anything is drafted in from elsewhere around Metroline or if anything is loaned from Tower Transit or another operator. Would like to see some of the TNs or TALs lent to Metroline, making them yet more third-hand buses in London

Cllr. Stef Borella (Labour) in Bexley is reporting that a November spending review at TfL will see cross-border TfL-Kent routes decimated.
I've asked for the evidence and none has been forthcoming. This also makes little sense because: - The 492 has just been awarded a new contract, roughly holding its price. - Cllr. Borella knows the outcome of a yet to be conducted spending review - There really aren't that many TfL-KCC routes
Anybody else heard anything about this?

Sounds like the usual scare mongering you get in the run up to a Spending Review. I can't believe a local London councillor would have an inside track on Mr Osborne's view of TfL's budget nor TfL's reaction, in terms of a revised Business Plan, if government grant is reduced. We do know that revenue grant, that funds the bus network, may be a target for cuts but that's merely speculation. TfL have set out their own priorities to Government and that includes *protecting* the level of revenue grant.

I read on his twitter feed that "bus routes from Bexley into Kent are under threat", I think I'll take it all with a pinch of salt quite honestly

Good Luck to Stagecoach! Running a reliable service on Lea Bridge Road is going to get a whole lot tougher. Section B and C of the Lea Bridge Road Mini Holland scheme, have been unveiled and the Eastbound bus Lane is going to torn up to make room for two segregated cycle lanes. What's left of the Westbound bus lane won't really have a lot of benefit to buses as they will still need to merge into the long queues of traffic. With all the changes it is comforting to know that... -quote from the consultation page
With these changes (and all the rest to come), I honestly do not know how the 48, 55 & 56 will run reliablely from end to end during the peak hours, without cutting the routes or reducing the frequency (which will impact capacity issues that all ready exist on all three of the route). In my opinion, there could be some unavoidable major bus changes on there way, if public transport in Waltham Forest is put second to cycling. 55 to Holborn? 56 to Angel? 48 to Liverpool Street? I do hope the quote is right... Section B (including Argall Way Junction/ Markhouse Road junction) / Section C

I can only encourage more locals/bus users to add more comments, because its absurdly crazy. I think the TfL modelling used a parameter, where all current car users gave up and took up cycling, hence no time increases for buses .

The updated TfL service change document now has the revised frequencies for route 80 and confirms a marginal AM peak increase for the 93 (from 5 Dec). Still no confirmation of route 70's extension to Chiswick Business Park - last date cited was 5 Dec 2015. I note also that there are massive diversions in Swiss Cottage affecting the northbound 46, 268 and 603 for 4 months as a result of gas works. I'd fallen across this by accident when looking at live departures and suddenly saw the 46 and 268 on Adelaide Road. I thought I'd gone mad.

This plan will solely benefit cyclist, even pedestrians face being inconvenienced by these plans. I respect that Lea Bridge Road is at the epicentre of cycling in Waltham Forest, however these proposals are not reasonable and will not allow all road users (except cyclists) to complete there journeys in a reasonable time. I guess this is what is to be expected in Waltham Forest for Forest Road and Chingford Road, etc.

I see Mr Munster is reporting another timetable change on the 123 "to improve reliability". This seems to involve giving us an even more confusing and useless timetable with 10, 11 and 12 minute headways all jumbled up throughout the day. Who comes up with this nonsense? Also makes me wonder what on earth has been done with the stats to allow Arriva to gain a QIC extension due to "amazing performance" which is apparently so bad that yet another reliability timetable is needed. Still we only had 15-20 minute gaps in this evening's peak so why do I complain and moan? It's clearly all wonderful. I see there appears to be a move away from using buses from Tottenham on Sats possibly meaning all VLAs on Saturdays although the wording is a tad unclear.

What are the new frequencies for the 80 come December? Monday-Saturday from 10 to every 7-8. Monday-Saturday early mornings, Sunday daytimes and all evenings from 20 to every 15. And Sunday early mornings from 30 mins to 20.
