Yep At this rate, the 481 will match the frequency of most central London routes eventually. Maybe that’s a bit too much, but we know what tfl is capable of. To be fair to the 481 it has a lot untapped potential, if only it continued to Brentford Half Acre…. I agree. It’s quicker (if not more direct) to Kingston than the 281 from Whitton, Fulwell and Teddington. Go whole hog and extend to Brentford and then to Ealing via 65 !

To be fair to the 481 it has a lot untapped potential, if only it continued to Brentford Half Acre…. Sending the route to Brentford would solve the massive peak hour issue the 267 has. Perhaps just send the 481 to Brentford during the peaks only? Lack of demand elsewhere. Or the H22 can do just that job. I think the Whitton to Brentford link would be quite well used for local journeys that are currently easy to do by car but difficult by bus. With the current bus network Whitton is currently quite cut off from the area to the north east of it.

The main trouble is how infrequent the route is and also stops running at around 8pm which is pretty poor in my opinion. If extended to Brentford, I’d like to see it become 24 hours as there are no routes running down the twickenham road corridor at night. Ealing might not be needed, isn’t the E1 still being extended via the 65’s corridor to Osterley? This will provide some assistance. The 65 also has a high frequency in Brentford.

Such a shame the extended pavement isn't being removed and instead, they lengthened it across the entrance to the market so that big bus lane put in when the bus stop was removed outside Iceland is now permanently gone which was very useful as it allowed buses to overtake each other at the stops instead of clogging up the road

So I do wonder if they might remove the extended pavement with the third bus stop being returned?

It’s not even that bad to be honest, the worst times is usually around 3pm but even that wouldn’t mess the reliability up too much.

They aren’t new shelters - those are the old shelters and in fact the middle shelter was moved onto the extended pavement on Wednesday just gone. The extended pavement was also lengthened earlier this week to cover the market entrance

There are going to be cuts in Barnes & Mortlake area from 16th July
The 209 is being halved from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes The 378 is rerouted and cut from ever 7.5 mins to every 15 minutes so there will be few GoAhead SEs released
The 533 also gets slight frequency cut and the non stop section Hammersmith-Chiswick, goes back to normal all stops, the temporary contract has also apparently been extended until October
