Only been a few hours and there's more updates to the TfL bus changes page: Frequency increases on Sundays and in the evenings makes a nice change. Are the 86 and 141 crowded at these times? 141 is very busy simply because of the 21 re-routing. A lot of passenger complaints over this with people being left back at stops, even if buses are at 4-5 mins. The morning peak is the worst. 3 buses would be coming out of [WN], the last change when the 21 was re-directed had one [WN] bus. Various times of day buses are over crowded on the 141. I would post details of changes later on, I thought other night bus routes was proposed, unless there is a different date for them.

Only been a few hours and there's more updates to the TfL bus changes page: Delighted to see the 123 finally getting a full 24 hours service that's certainly long overdue and fixed the missing Outer North/East London night link and I'm sure our late Snoggle will be pleased with that. 158 is another busy route in the day so I think it will do well in the nights too. The increased Sunday service on the 86 is a nice bonus to see. Agreed! Will be interested to see whether Arriva will use DWs or HVs for the overnight run?

What a random change to the 26 which will do nothing but inconvenience people. It will, however, decrease running time on the terminus routing, with a simple loop around Vauxhall Bridge Road and Wilton Street. I still think the Grosvenor Gardens 44 stand is best suited to the 26, with the 44 moving to Vauxhall Bridge Road. It then loses a common stop with the 24 though. I usually prefer getting off at stop M anyway rather than sit in traffic but that's only my personal preference

Only been a few hours and there's more updates to the TfL bus changes page: I do really hope TfL can consider converting the former weekend night operated 114 and the 183 to be 24 hours daily. Areas they serve such as Pinner and Ruislip are fairly remote away from current network.

Thou its only getting an increase evenings and Sundays to every 10 mins so peak hour issues must have calmed down a bit as its remaining the same.

The 123 going 24 hours is a great move. One that was well overdue. The folks on Forest Road on the Waterworks Corner end of that road have suffered for years with no buses at night.
All I need now is the 221 to be 24 hours and then it's job done.

Good news regarding the 123 and 158 for these parts of east and northeast London but all these changes with the SL route seem like knee jerk reactions to the ULEZ and next years London election.

Would hopefully be HV as they are not as noisy so won’t disturb people in residential areas.

Yeah I hope this is more than let's bolster North London's night bus network whilst ignoring then South who already have a vastly inferior network. Quick look at the most frequent night routes shows this disparity.

For the Night 123, it was always HV only when it ran on weekend nights before covid and that was the case since AR got HV's for the 243/341 since new, which would mean a DW on the Night 123 is very unlikely.
As for the night 158, it would more likely to still use a DW since EC now only got 6 HV's with most of them are used on the N279 every nights.

Regarding routes 79 and 83, I'm surprised it is taking place so soon! Less than 6 months after consultation but good news anyhow.
Regarding frequency reductions on routes like the 207 and 427, both of which I can see as unlikely as they would struggle, it does seem that this superloop scheme would hardly be an improvement for outer London, if the frequency reductions did take place.

I can speak on behalf of the 86 and yea it is. You get more time to do the route on a Sunday midday then a weekday midday but it’s less frequent so frequency increases makes a nice change!

TfL were adamant that there would be enough capacity when they rerouted the 21 away from Newington Green. I count this now as the second bolstering of the 141´s frequency, and I know the resident north London Arriva official would correct me if that was wrong. The frequency of the 76 has also been adjusted. I get that TfL were trying to save money with the 21 reroute, but from early on I knew by them saying ¨there is enough capacity¨ was total rubbish & was very vocal about the 141 needing more buses, especially in the morning peak. Oh well, let´s hope the few months of savings is greater than revenue lost from passengers abandoning the bus network around Newington Green... As for the 123 and 158 going 24 hours, it seems Christmas has come early for me! It may be safe to say that weekend 24 hour routes may not make a comeback, so TfL are (rightfully) plugging in gaps with the night bus network. Blackhorse Road will go from one night route to three night routes in a fortnight, which is pretty unwarranted in that area for that level of service. However Higham Hill is too dense a populated area to not have a night route, so I´m pretty sure punters would be appreciative of the 158 there and likely for a late night link from Westfield which is increasingly being established as a late night leisure destination. Talked about the 123 ad infinitum in the past so won´t repeat but am very pleased. Including the 486 a fortnight ago, that will be three weekend 24 hour buses that have been converted to nightly operation. I expect three, maybe four more weekend 24 routes to get the same treatment. Which ones exactly is speculation that I will refrain from engaging in in this thread.
