TfL were adamant that there would be enough capacity when they rerouted the 21 away from Newington Green. I count this now as the second bolstering of the 141´s frequency, and I know the resident north London Arriva official would correct me if that was wrong. The frequency of the 76 has also been adjusted. I get that TfL were trying to save money with the 21 reroute, but from early on I knew by them saying ¨there is enough capacity¨ was total rubbish & was very vocal about the 141 needing more buses, especially in the morning peak. Oh well, let´s hope the few months of savings is greater than revenue lost from passengers abandoning the bus network around Newington Green... As for the 123 and 158 going 24 hours, it seems Christmas has come early for me! It may be safe to say that weekend 24 hour routes may not make a comeback, so TfL are (rightfully) plugging in gaps with the night bus network. Blackhorse Road will go from one night route to three night routes in a fortnight, which is pretty unwarranted in that area for that level of service. However Higham Hill is too dense a populated area to not have a night route, so I´m pretty sure punters would be appreciative of the 158 there and likely for a late night link from Westfield which is increasingly being established as a late night leisure destination. Talked about the 123 ad infinitum in the past so won´t repeat but am very pleased. Including the 486 a fortnight ago, that will be three weekend 24 hour buses that have been converted to nightly operation. I expect three, maybe four more weekend 24 routes to get the same treatment. Which ones exactly is speculation that I will refrain from engaging in in this thread. Flaw in your point is the 141 is not getting a frequency increase in the peaks.

Looks like we’ll have 2 night routes in chingford. The 158 would help night travelers from chingford towards Stratford and vice versa

That is because the 141 was already allocated a couple extra AM southbound journeys soon after the 21 reroute. The first of two changes to the 141 that TfL said would not occur but it has. And as aforementioned, they did tinker with the 76 getting in-the-flow frequency enhancements in the peak. Pretty sure my point is crystal clear: TfL deliberately made these Newington Green changes knowing capacity levels were not adequate. The recent 141 changes highlight this.

The 183 is a strong possibility as it would give a night service over a large part of a Superloop route (which is what the 123 is doing).

Let's hope that tfl will reintroduce the 114 and 183 night routes. So that NW London gets it's fair share of night routes/bus improvements. So far it's only been East/SE London that have regained night routes which seems a bit unfair to south and west London folk

Nothing against other parts of London, absolutely brilliant they're getting the improvements they getting but it shouldn't be pick an area and ignore others.

Shock horror at the comments as soon as east London gets an enhancement instead of a cut.

It’s looks like some of the weekend night routes are coming back as full night routes.
E1, 114 and 183 should hopefully be on the cards.

Would be interesting to see if routes less busy than the 145 stay, considering low usage was the reason cited for the 145s withdrawal.

Seeing as TFL are in improvements mode for buses, could they please increase the frequency of route N9 to every 20 minutes on all nights of the week? Really feel sorry for West Londoners that a vital night route for them is so irregular.

Shocking frequency these days for a route which is often full for most of the journey.

Entirely unsurprised to see these improvements appearing out of nowhere, trying to distract from ULEZ and the mayoral election coming up. Massive coincidence that we only see improvements to bus services within a year of the election … not

Surprised they didn’t at least increase the frequency of the 148. That route is always busy during the day from White City. Could have increased it to every 8 minutes or 8-9 minutes

You won't get this in 2025, back to cuts, I'd expect by then another consultation will be launched into tampering with more central London routes

I definitely agree with that, a half hourly service is totally inadequate even more so since the 23 was withdrawn from Hammersmith.
