Interesting insight there. What’s happening in December? Nothing the route is just a nightmare for traffic and heavy loads because of Christmas shoppers. Last year I cannot remember when but there was 4 sets of temporary ATS lights on the Route… This week there are 2 the same locations Northwood Road & Brigstock Road where they are digging up the SAME places again! … the annoying thing about Brigstock Road is there was temporary lights at this same location 4 weeks ago! Next month I would not be surprised if Northwood Road is closed for more emergency roadworks with buses diverted via the 468 to Thornton Heath…! I will never forget when two sets of Temporary ATS lights were on Brigstock Road last year…. no stopping from Thornton Heath Clock Tower until Bensham Lane!!! 2 Consecutive stops closed disgusting! In general when Temporary ATS goes on Westwood Hill like it does like 3-4 times a year they’ll be turning every bus to Sydenham… Last Tuesday I was curtailed to Sydenham & Thornton Heath, High Street… the traffic was diabolical. Is the one on Spa Hill still in place?

Latest email from TfL today on Manor Circus works, route 110 will be diverted southbound but not clear what route it will take:
From the evening of Friday 22 September, B353 Sandycombe Road will be closed to southbound traffic from the junction with Raleigh Road and the A316.
This is to help improve congestion through the area during essential maintenance works. Bus route 110 will be on diversion southbound between Kew Gardens Road and The Quadrant.
There will be a series of lane closures and traffic management affecting each arm of the A316 Manor Circus roundabout, near Richmond, until Spring 2024, while we carry out these essential maintenance works.
To reduce disruption, works will take place on each arm separately, with the most impactful works expected to be completed by mid-December 2023.
Bus route R68 will not run its entire route during these works. Use the R70 for stops between Richmond Manor Circus and Kew Retail Park. To plan your journey, visit Journey Planner or download the TfL Go app.
If you are driving through the area, delays are expected on all approaches, especially the A316 and A205 and on surrounding roads. Plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible. For more information, visit our Manor Circus roundabout page.
If you need to travel through the area, leave more time for your journey, travel outside peak times and take extra care through the temporary layouts. Check our website for more information on how the network is operating.

355 will be interesting for a variety of reasons, first one being, will it eradicate the hybrid ADLs at C (ie EH15, 117 and 195). Another being what buses will stray onto the route seeing as Q have no compliant SDs, leading me to believe that the Ees could potentially stray, depending on the blinds in the hybrids at Q. I wasn’t aware it was confirmed what 4 double deckers are moving with the 355 to Q? EH15, 117, 195 and WHV70 are now all tracking under TMPs, they will be the 4 moving.

Any more observations about how the Richmond-Twickenham corridor is coping without route R68?

It's very unclear what the 110 is actually doing during these works, day by day it changes between Sandycoombe Road both directions, Sandycoombe Road one direction or Kew Road both directions. Can imagine it's frustrating and confusing for passengers and seems at the whim of controllers at AV. And that letter still doesn't give details as to what route it will take on diversion and which stops are missed! Becuase I've read that they're being diverted via The Avenue as a result of the closure but that implies it's going on Kew Road the whole way. And whether the northbound direction will stick to Sandycoombe Road or not.

LOTS report that the early morning and late evening service on the 107 will be doubled from x30 to x15mins. I assume this is in conjunction with ULEZ expansion rather than any actual increase in demand? It does seem ridiculously extravagant. Sunday daytime service will be increased from x20 to x15mins which seems a bit more reasonable.

The 117 & 203 are the busiest routes into Staines and both drop frequencies eves and Sundays , both ridiculously busy and need enhancements as well , so good news for the 107 but now about some more good news for SW London please TfL ?

A x30mins frequency on the 166 to Epsom would be great with an evening and Sunday service added, I'm not sure about the justification for the 107 increase though.

Totally agree, enhancements on the 117 and 203 might even break even. 117 is the main route between West Middlesex Hospital and Hounslow town centre, often leaves West Middlesex Hospital with standing passengers. A frequency enhancement would would serve two purposes, general outer London/cross boundary ULEZ enhancements and improving access to hospitals. Meanwhile a Green Party analysis of a TfL FOI release about bus mileage reductions shows that LB of Hounslow has suffered the greatest reduction in bus mileage of any outer London Borough. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the analysis but was interesting to note. 203 has at least been double decked.

I also think the 258 could benefit from a frequency increase from every 15 minutes to every 12. It is well used, and unfortunately there can sometimes be a bus missing from the schedule, and therefore 30 minute gaps in the service. Would also have the advantage of giving an even service with the 142 between Watford and Bushey Heath.

It does seem a bit random seeing as they won't provide a bus between Barnet and Potters Bar and took the 384 away from a lot of Barnet, and those are what the local campaigns were about. Just seems like they're doing it so they can say they're doing something in Barnet just to get heat off them, especially now the 34 is being reduced too.

The 251, which links the two bits of the northern part of the LB of Barnet, was also reduced in frequency recently. I wonder how it is doing in terms of capacity?

Its the peak hour service only that was reduced.
