So tomorrow marks the first time there’s been a gap in the 1** route sequence, since 2008 I think since the 135 came along?

Lots of changes today, biggest day of changes in a while. I couldn’t keep up with everything happening today so thought I’d put in a recap post:
346 - starts with Stagecoach (which I think has been forgotten with all the limelight on the 450 and 1/168 changes) 404 - starts with Abellio 450 - starts with Go-Ahead C3 - restarts with Abellio, and has the honour of being the first TfL route to get a second batch of EVs on tender renewal
1 - new routing and transferred over to Q 188 - new routing and retransferred over to MG 168 - bye bye 355 - transferred over to Q
Numerous temporary timetables, most notable of which is the 110 which will have a ridiculous frequency of every 17 minutes M-S and 22 minutes on Sundays

Metroline and Arriva both lose much more in terms of PVR. and GAL gains much more in terms of PVR, being 27 compared to 12 for Abellio Isn’t it only 20 extra PVR for GAL? +15 for the 450, +8 for the 1 and -3 for the 346? Edit: Only 18, the 185 dropped to 23 I/o 25.

Where would any extra 9m MMCs come from?

Sorry I saw this elsewhere on the forum, is it true the 394 is getting extend to King’s Cross? Is there a consultation on this? No consultation yet, but there is a proposal for the 394 to be extended to King's Cross via Copenhagen Street and the new Canal Reach housing development. The route may be reduced in frequency (to 4bph) to provide sufficient vehicles for the extension. I can't give you any more information than that.

Latest email from TfL today on Manor Circus works, route 110 will be diverted southbound but not clear what route it will take: From the evening of Friday 22 September, B353 Sandycombe Road will be closed to southbound traffic from the junction with Raleigh Road and the A316. This is to help improve congestion through the area during essential maintenance works. Bus route 110 will be on diversion southbound between Kew Gardens Road and The Quadrant. There will be a series of lane closures and traffic management affecting each arm of the A316 Manor Circus roundabout, near Richmond, until Spring 2024, while we carry out these essential maintenance works. To reduce disruption, works will take place on each arm separately, with the most impactful works expected to be completed by mid-December 2023. Bus route R68 will not run its entire route during these works. Use the R70 for stops between Richmond Manor Circus and Kew Retail Park. To plan your journey, visit Journey Planner or download the TfL Go app. If you are driving through the area, delays are expected on all approaches, especially the A316 and A205 and on surrounding roads. Plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible. For more information, visit our Manor Circus roundabout page. If you need to travel through the area, leave more time for your journey, travel outside peak times and take extra care through the temporary layouts. Check our website for more information on how the network is operating. It's very unclear what the 110 is actually doing during these works, day by day it changes between Sandycoombe Road both directions, Sandycoombe Road one direction or Kew Road both directions. Can imagine it's frustrating and confusing for passengers and seems at the whim of controllers at AV. And that letter still doesn't give details as to what route it will take on diversion and which stops are missed! Becuase I've read that they're being diverted via The Avenue as a result of the closure but that implies it's going on Kew Road the whole way. And whether the northbound direction will stick to Sandycoombe Road or not. Today the 110 was certainly operating via the length of Kew Road in both directions. Nothing on any part of the TfL website, including bus service status page, to indicate that Lower Mortlake Road, Sandycombe Road and Kew Gardens Road are not being served northbound as well.

The C3 is a loss making route. It barely ever meets targets. RATP done the right thing by flogging it off

Well RATP are the big losers and Abellio are the big winners today Metroline and Arriva both lose much more in terms of PVR. Metroline are fine.... They have the 9/N9 - 223 - 228 incoming and retained all work apart from the E6 No major issues. Arriva on the other hand...…. 78/133/157/242/325/333 the list could even bigger in the next few weeks with only the 76 coming in....
