Route 228 will have a new timetable from this date. Buses will be revised to run every 30 minutes from first to last bus on all days of the week. Route 228 will be operated by Metroline from this date. From this date? Or from this Saturday?

I do wonder. If the tube station had been named as “Battersea Power Station Station” (given it serves Battersea Power Station), and there was a bus station also opened there to serve as an interchange. Would the bus stop have been called “Battersea Power Station Station Bus Station”? Maybe Battersea Bus Station to be simplistic? Given that Battersea is quite a big area it would need to be more specific in location, perhaps for example Battersea Power Station (Bus Station).

Battersea Park Station stops B (the one you mention above) is to be moved earlier if front of Newton Prep, thus 156 and 344 will not stop in front of the station in either direction. That seems like it will be too close to stop H. Maybe they should merge them into one. I believe that one is moving further as well.

It’s a meandering mess that can be replaced by other existing connections. For a single decker in zone 1 to only run every 30 minutes indicates a failure in demand.

Its a zone 2 route but your point definitely still stands, can’t think of any zone 2 routes that are very 30 minutes. Didn’t it used to be every 12? A meandering mess is certainly a good description. To me it does truly define a pointless route, and not even in the slightest bit interesting

Doh, that also reminds of the 485 as well 😂 They do have entirely different purposes though, they serve isolated communities that heavily depend on a local bus link, almost like an inner London 389/399, rather than a route which has been continuously slashed because it’s a lost cause
