Changes to routes 77 & 211 - 29 June 2024 From Saturday 29 June route 211 will be changed to run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station to Battersea Power Station via Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Broadway, King's Road, Sloane Square and Chelsea Bridge. Route 77 will now start and finish on the Upper Taxi Road at Waterloo Station. Route 211 will now run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station via its current route to Sloane Square where it will be rerouted via Lower Sloane Street, Chelsea Bridge Road, Chelsea Bridge, Queenstown Road, Queen's Circus, Prince Of Wales Drive and Battersea Park Road to terminate at Battersea Power Station. The current section of route between Sloane Square and Waterloo will no longer be served by route 211 however passengers can still use route 11 which will cover the withdrawn section of route 211. Passengers can interchange between the 11 and 211 in both directions at the Sloane Square bus stops located on Lower Sloane Street. Route 211 will continue to run every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. First buses on route 211 will continue to depart Hammersmith Bus Station at 0505 and from Battersea Power Station at 0525 on all days of the week. Last buses will depart Hammersmith Upper Bus Station at 2400 and from Battersea Power Station at 0010 on all days of the week. Route 77 will have its routeing and stops amended at Waterloo Station. Towards Waterloo route 77 will no longer serve bus stop F at County Hall or the current last stop on Concert Hall Approach. Instead, buses will be rerouted via Station Approach Road to Cab Road setting down by entrance / exit number 3 at Waterloo mainline station. On departure to Tooting route 77 buses will pick up from bus stop B on Cab Road before re-joining the current routeing on York Road. Route 77 buses will no longer pick up from bus stop T on Concert Hall Approach. There will be a minor timetable change on route 77 to reflect the new routeing however no change to the departure times of first and last buses on any day of the week. The route will continue to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The new timetable and bus stops served by routes 77 and 211 can be found in our journey planner tool at www.tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journeyThe route 211 changes are finally confirmed to be happening on 29th June by TFL. The confirmed routing to Battersea Power Station is the one I thought it would be. It will be interesting to see where route 211 stands at Battersea Power Station. Bring on 29th June!!!

Ridiculous cutting the 85 when fresh air service 414 is still running! The 414 might not be around for much longer I know and how ridiculous that the 414 requires a consultation even though most people won't care two hoots but the 85 reduction doesn't even though a lot of people are going to be affected.

I often see the fresh air comments about the 414 but that can’t be the case all the time! Are you suggesting people would let a 414 go in favour of a 14 on the common section they share? If it was the case then why does the 14 need a increase.

What makes me laugh is does anyone remember when the 274 was extended to Lancaster Gate apparently this was to make space at Marble Arch for another route? Now there is the 30 113 137 189 414 all standing there with an empty 137 stand at Oxford Circus!

If it was the case then why does the 14 need a increase. It depends on where you are waiting for the 14/414. If I was at Fulham Broadway and wanted to go to Putney I would specifically wait for the 14. But if I was in Knightsbridge then it wouldn’t be as much of an issue as I would just change elsewhere.

The few people that are on a 414 would have probably have got a 14 or 74 if that had come first.

Whenever the 414 pulls up at the first stop at Marble Arch they usually drive off very quickly probably because of low numbers.

The 274 should be pulled back to Marble Arch once the 414 is withdrawn, serves very little purpose along that section of the Bayswater Road and the 46 was the more useful one from the north-west direction to Lancaster Gate rather than the 274.

Get rid of the 414 stand altogether was only recently built wasting road space now. I somewhat doubt they'll remove it even if it would be nice to see it removed (yes it does take up a lot of space) but I do think some tweaks in Central London are still necessary when it comes to standing arrangements and so I think it would be a good idea even to save 1 bus to cut the 274 back to use those freed up stands in Marble Arch.
On another note there should be a look into the 476 standing arrangement at King's Cross. The 73s are starting to pick up loadings wise once again by King's Cross (not uncommon to see full ones rock up to the station) but you tend to see empty 476s between King's Cross and Angel, something really should be done about that arrangement or just cut the route back to Angel altogether and leave it to mop up the crowds that build up on Islington High Street for the 73 and 476.

I wonder if the 30 may move to the 414 stand and that current stand in the middle of Marble arch to become predesteian space.

I would say leave it as it is. Too many buses standing at Marble Arch now.

Having the 476 go via Pancras Way will inevitably make it more unreliable. Traffic phasing post cycle lane is generally too short for the amount of traffic there and the 63 in particular suffers heavily in punctuality as a result. I'm not against serving King's Cross Station properly, but don't be surprised if an extra bus needs to be added to the PVR. If that happens, then there'd be a good case to answer for not returning the 476 back to Euston in the first place.

From Saturday 29 June, Route 211 will be changed to run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station to Battersea Power Station via Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Broadway, King's Road, Sloane Square and Chelsea Bridge. Route 77 will now start and finish on the Upper Taxi Road at Waterloo Station. . Never knew TfL distinguished Hammersmith as Upper and Lower as destinations. Are we going to get 211 blinded as such and ibus as such.
