so, the consaltation of this is now over, any news as of yet? I think you need to give TfL a chance to read, review and consider the responses they have received. I expect it will be a few months before you hear anything. I understand some of the changes have proved controversial in certain parts of New Addington so TfL may need to reconsider. Local councillors and the MP have all been involved which shows there is some strength of feeling. It's also apparent that things like driver facilities and bus stop moves / new bus stops will be needed and they can take a long time to happen if the Council decides to be uncooperative (i.e. TfL doesn't do what it wants in respect of listening to local people). I understand why TfL have put forward the changes - the area is overbussed - but cutting people's services or removing them altogether is never going to be popular.

If the consultation is approved of, that means Arriva and Metrobus will lose 2 routes, T31, and T32. Also, ENL1-9, which have recently been refurbished will become surplus unless they are considered to replace PDL117-121 at TC (PDL122 and PDL123 may come back to TC)

There is also extra work on existing routes for Metrobus. The 359 is also being retendered. Arriva have a decent chance of picking up work - they must be well placed to pick up the 359. Barring a couple of exceptions Croydon is mostly Arriva anyway with Abellio and Metrobus having a smaller share each.

so, when is the 353 up for re-tender? It already is, once the Consultation is fully complete the tender should be announced.

Not yet, the consultation results have not yet been released, the consultation closed on 19th December, I thought the results would come back at least by mid January. I also expect when the 353, 359, 654 tenders are awarded contract renewal dates might even be pushed from May onwards as the 353 & 654 Contracts are meant to end on 22/05/2015 as they began on 22/05/2010. If anyone actually knew though it probably would have been posted by now, so asking that question is pointless. I do not mean that in a harsh way just some friendly advice...

The results will be released at the end of March according to tfl Surely that is just overkill.
