Nooooooooooooooo!!! Not another one of Abellio London's lovely Gemini's involved in an accident, I think this one might be written off looking at the damage it received.

Seriously, what is it with Abellio's buses? They like to catch fire a lot...

Looks repairable tbh.
Still this means that another ex. Connex TA can soldier on!

The words 'lovely' and 'Abellio Gemini' really do not go together lol. Looking at the pic, it certainly looks repairable - I've seen buses in a worse state get repaired - all depends on how much the repair costs against the vehicle's current value.

Is the 'explosion' the tyre bursting? Exactly what I was thinking. Glad no one seems to have gotten injured, that's the main thing.

Ouch!! I hope everyone was ok and uninjured. Where i normally sit, towards the back,on top of the right rear tyre which burst was worst damaged. However it looks repairable. Steve80 , have you driven 9066 recently?

Steve80 , have you driven 9066 recently? 9066 was unique in that it had the turbo sound when accelerating which is a slight whine but loud enough to hear from a distance. The bus was an average performer so nothing worth crying about Not sure who the driver was as there's so many new drivers lately. Even had one driver route learning with me on the T33 today

Considering that the epicenter of the damage appears to be around the wheel I wonder if the brakes were overheating.

It was mentioned on the ITV London news that the bus was only evacuated after a passing police car notified the driver that there was a fire coming from the rear wheel.
