I'm not familiar with the current 192 (the Woodlands Estate to Lewisham version was more my bag!) but a quick trundle round it on Streetview suggests the section south of Bush Hiil Park would cope OK with longer vehicles. What are loadings like over the Enfield section and could this be switched to another route (perhaps some sort of mix with the 377)?

I was thinking in terms of keeping it through to Enfield but perhaps reemerging onto the main road between Bush Hill Park and there and letting a revised 377 cover the backroads. It'd be interesting to know where those passengers are going - just to and from Enfield or do they stay on past Bush Hill Park? A swap with the W8 to Tottenham Hale does sound like the best idea though.

Not in the area but will give my 2 cents on this, the main issue on this route is Tottenham Hale to Edmonton Green especially Angel Road/Ikea to Tottenham Hall this is ironic because this is not the only part of London where Ikea is causing major transport issues at least the one in Croydon has tram but that's getting a frequency increase, Neasden has a lot of major routes and Lakeside has the M25 on the border whilst Edmonton has 341 which does get busy and can cope and the measly single door 192 and a poorly served Angel Road/Northumberland Park station.
Best scenario would be switch ends with W8, however though the 192 does link up/round rather well so instead how about a route linking Tottenham Hale, Edmonton Green and Enfield as a double decked trunk through the 149,349 and then Enfield or divert 349 to Tottenham Hale actually giving it a use and extend it to Enfield so the 192/W8 can serve the backstreets and Ikea plus more than option as with improved train links also coming I only see that part of London getting more busy.

The 289 gets rammed solid and isn't particularly reliable due to Purley Way. As 'ibus246' mentioned, the 455 is the nearest route which stops on Ampere Way next to the tram stop.

Don't forget Tramlink for Croydon IKEA. Very well used by IKEA purchasers - lots of awkward shaped things are shoved in the trams that you'd never get on a bus. I'd kick myself if I'd left a key component like bed slats or awls for my MATILDA Bunk-bed & Desk System on a tram Especially as said tram could end up in New Addington lol.

Suggestion to sort the 192 debacle
Run the 192 as is between Enfield Town and Edmonton Green, and then divert via Church St and Victoria Road to Middlessex Hospital. This provides a link between Enfield and Middlessex Hosiptal as well as serving Victoria Road for its entire length.
New route 392 with double deckers
Walthamstow to Enfield Town Southbury Road, Great Cambridge Road, Bury Street, Edmonton Green and then the current 192 route to Tottenham Hale, then either route 123 to the The Bell Corner and Hoe Street, or route 230 to Walthamstow Central..... Not sure which is the best way to run into Walthamstow as both routes have their own issues.
Walthamstow Bus station is pretty busy so may not fit, so may be best to approach from Hoe Street to run to South Grove to stand.
Both routes could run every 10 or 12 mins Mon-Sat and 15 minutes evenings and Sunday's.
Any thoughts?
