Predictable report with no good news in it.

Oh dear - break out the emergency buses! Oh hang on - they don't run from Blackhorse Road which is the busiest interchange on the line (other than the termini). The double irony is that an empty class 710 was whizzing up and down in the empty slots in the rush hour.

The double irony is that an empty class 710 was whizzing up and down in the empty slots in the rush hour. It really does make me think these buses have just been set up with the intent for them to fail, and so can be withdrawn at a later date. Then when someone notices you'll get the typical "We tried" response. I can't speak much for the Western section, but the eastern section of the proposed RR is pathetic. Nobody will wait 15 minutes for a bus when they can wait just a few minutes for a 257 or 69. Not to mention people who are going from Walthamstow to Leyton or Leytonstone probably already take the bus anyway How on earth is anyone meant to get to Wanstead Park, Woodgrange Park or Barking on one of those RR services?

But I was told people would have to re-time their journeys or that it's just a minor branch line in the grand scheme of things

mmmmm I really do feel for those left behind. Perhaps Bombardier should pay for a few shared Ubers to take them to whichever station on the GOBLIN they were going to alight at!!!
Or perhaps as TfL said the new trains would have greater capacity so everyone could be accommodated on a 1/2 hourly service, they should pay for the Ubers!!!!
As for the rail supplement bus service, how about a simple replacement service calling at each GOBLIN station?

Anyone been on the GOBLIN line today? How is it coping on the 1/2 hourly service? Not me, but Mrs Thin Lizzy works near Harringay and is deeply unimpressed with the trains now running every half hour. Her train this morning wasn't too bad, but she's travelling home at around 5 this evening....

Looks like there are two class 710s trundling along the GOBLIN today. Cancel half the service and fill the gaps with new trains no one can use. ISTR I predicted this might happen.

ENS 6 passed through Archway eastbound on the supplementary service. Predictably it's carting fresh air around.
