Looks serious From Hammersmith&Fullham Council We’ve had to urgently close Hammersmith Bridge to motorists because of safety concerns after our weekly checks revealed critical faults. We're sorry for the inconvenience but we must put the safety of the public first |

I can't see this bridge opening again anytime soon. I use it every week and it's in dire need of repair.

Follow the south circluar to kew bridge then turn left heading to AH. |

This is going to cause absolute havoc, I can’t see the bridge being reopened to traffic at any point in the near future. The 209 is now currently totally useless, it’s sole purpose is to ferry commuters from south of the river to Hammersmith. At least it will encourage more people to cycle as the bridge is still open to cyclists and pedestrians  |

So now weeks (maybe months) of waiting for funding, if and when that happens, was going to be a closure estimated at 12-15 months. Can’t see it reopening until sometime in 2021 at earliest |

I wonder if TfL will step in or leave it as it is.
I wonder TfL will now reconfigure the bus routes.
