How does the signalling generally work at stations like Ealing Common where ATO operates on the District Line yet manually driven on the Piccadilly Line? Works on ATO hasn't been implemented on that section due to interactions with the Piccadilly running on manual driving. Other sections such as the Richmond and the Wimbledon branch also hasn't been implemented due to interactions with National rail services and the the rolling stock signal systems. I'm not sure if works will recommence once the new rolling stock arrives as it also will be capable of running the same ATO signalling system as on the District?

CBTC will be extended to East Putney and Stamford Brook, work is being undertaken. As has correctly been stated we must wait until the Piccadilly 1973 Stock has been withdrawn and funding available for ATO to reach Ealing.

Thanks for all the replies as I didn't realise parts of the District Line was yet to convert in that manner.

I used the Jubilee Line today from Stratford to Canning Town and was taken aback by how brazen users of laughing gas have become. A large group of teens left the train all with balloons in mouth and large canister without a car in the world. This is the first time I have seen this being used on public transport,
I think what makes matters worse is there is a daytime Legal(Or illegal?)rave venue in the area which seems to attract of lot of people on a Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately some people normalise this type of behavior. Like Dele Alli for instance.

There is a venue in Canning Town that has legal day raves , as for balloons they are widely used and have been for a good 10 or so years now in the race scene rightly or wrongly by the youngsters .

Jubilee Line - has anyone else noticed the bunching that occurs ? Also noticed today up to 30 secs spent at stations. This was by the lead train that wasn’t overly packed but within 3 stops the service was 1,2,3,4 mins then another gap.
Or am I being a typical Londoner unable to deal rationally with a 5 min wait for a train ?

Yes it’s been a touch bad this week Though nothing compares to the Piccadilly where ar times there are inexplicable 8-10 min gaps

For those interested this gentleman from Ticktok is one of a number I tend to check out who's in the process of visiting every London Underground station, concluded with brief personal review and rating. This one's of Balham done a day ago, his forty-third station visited for the task. vm.tiktok.com/ZGJCEv33E/There are likely other reviewers who are more interesting but I tend to follow them in general, especially as to compare opinions.

I'm late to the party but how will this work on the Met/Chiltern sections ? New signal posts able to show red, yellow, green and blue. If the system detects a CBTC fitted train it will run automatically and signals will display blue and the trainstop will lower. If a non-CBTC train approaches the signal will display the appropriate aspect of either red, single yellow or green, the trainstop will be in the appropriate position.

Saw a bit of banditry yesterday on the Northern line. A train was heading northbound to Edgware and the LED blind and announcements were saying it was going to Morden via Bank
