I remember years ago the Bakerloo Line was being planned to be extended to Watford Junction and also the watford branch of the Metropolitan Line was to also be rerouted to watford Junction has these projects been scrapped or are they on hold

The Met to Watford Junction (Croxley Rail Link) has officially been on hold but it's really unlikely in this environment that the funding issues will be resolved anytime soon, especially so that the project is outside Greater London and Hertfordshire can't really find enough money to sufficiently fund part of it neither.

I was always surprised this was seriously considered in the first place, plenty of other schemes would be better value if the funds were available. Watford already has a tube-style service, with the Overground serving Watford Town Centre. And Watford Junction has regular fast services into Euston, with non-stop trains only taking about 15 minutes. So the Met Line wouldn't make much difference to someone travelling from Watford into Central London. The only benefits would be for more local journeys to the west of Watford, and beyond to places like Pinner, Northwood or Rickmansworth. And I think some more minor changes would be better value for these. Maybe introduce a regular bus service linking from Watford (Met line) Station into the town centre? And would help to better promote the out-of-station interchange at Kenton & Northwick Park. And generally improve bus services where needed. Could even use the alignment proposed for the extension (from the disused Croxley branch line) to create a short guided busway? Perhaps create a Park & Ride site at Ascot Road (location of the proposed Cassiobridge Station), with buses then using this route to the back of the hospital/stadium, then Thomas Sawyer Way through to the town centre and Watford Junction? Could have a dedicated Park & Ride service, for connections to rail stations, the town centre, hospital and stadium - plus some existing routes diverted via the busway?

I am noticing a lot more of the S7 stock being bombed with graffiti tagging on the outside. It is starting to look horrendous. I take it people are doing this at sidings in the night.

Says in today's Metro Travel News section No H&C between Plaistow & Barking Sunday between 10 & 6 is this due to works at the sidings or signalling upgrades ? If anyone knows just a bit of a strange one never seen that before

Thanks for clarifying, hopefully the restriction gets lifted soon For whatever reason, the restricted speed limit on the southbound Victoria Line is still in place despite the track repaired ages ago There's been some speculation on RailForumsUK about it. Wonder how feasible the hypothesis of ground movement is.

Just a quick question. When was the last time a part of the Victoria line was closed for engineering works? Doesn't seem to have any major problems like the other lines

Just a quick question. When was the last time a part of the Victoria line was closed for engineering works? Doesn't seem to have any major problems like the other lines The one I remember was back in 2015 when it was closed between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central for track replacement works and the 558 was introduced between Seven Sisters and Chingford Mount

I was trying to think if there was one after that
