The tube strike extras have come out to play. Various vintage buses on the 25, not just RMs. RMs also on the 8 as well as Tridents on the 205.

As my employer, LU wouldn't like it if I went directly to the press. If the press see what is said in the public domain though..... I find it frustrating that the Unions haven't put our side across particularly well. EDIT: Also meant to add in my original post that the general consensus of opinion at my depot is that LU acted in the way it did yesterday to ensure the strike goes ahead. LU aren't ready for night tube and they know it but are being pushed politically by the Mayor. They're hoping to get themelves off the hook by making us look like the bad boys and its all our fault that it won't happen. That's our theory anyway. Well (a driver I think) was just on LBC with Iain Dale and said that (that don't want 24hr tube whilst TFL does so this all 'games') to which LBC have said they will investigate.

10 minutes until the Tube stops running. This sh*t is about to get real. I feel sorry for those in West London because both the tube and First Great Western won't be running.

After a while on New Oxford Street there are still no signs of extra buses, bus stop OJ outside Uniqlo is heaving with people and only two 25s, a 390, a 10, a 55 and a 73 within 15/20 mins...Oxford Street on the other hand is heaving with buses. I suppose the extra buses are yet to kick in.
