Anyone seen the report that the fuel for the Borismaster was £2m more than estimated.

I will need an explanation of what is "a rather stereotypical Yorkshireman!"

The BBC have announced they will no longer be showing Formula 1 races from next season. Channel 4 will show F1 Races instead of the BBC and will do this until 2018. Sky Sports F1 are unaffected by this "The BBC is proud to announce it is cancelling all make over, cooking, Z list celebrities, banality in general and reducing the management pyramid by 99.9%" Now that would be news! They are hardly going to cancel programmes that get higher viewing figures than the F1 coverage

If you remember after bus number so and so from Wrights other builders are allowed into the market. I think it would be a very brave company that would not leave most of Boris's designs in their product given the high profile of the Borismaster and LT Buses love affair with Wrights

"I'm afraid Mr Kahn comes across as a bit of a "wide boy" and a "chancer" - I just don't trust him to act sensibly and coherently as Mayor. I fear he has too many favourite causes that would detract from his ability to do the job of Mayor properly."
Whoops - I was sure you were talking about Boris

Has anyone got this new OS from Windows yet? Any warnings before I upgrade? I upgraded yesterday running a bit slow would recommend doing a clean install. I prefer 8.1 as I am finding Windows 10 theme dark and dull. I plan to dual boot with Linux Mint as I prefere Linux. I found it to be dark and dull but then found the settings that lets the user choose the background and colour settings for taskbar etc. I found it faster than 7 . However I have just gone back to 7 as one of my main progs will not as yet work with 10 and they have taken away some games

My first thought when I see Lothian Buses is of a country that wants independence but does not support its own industries. Now where was that Lothian rep who at the viewing of the Enviro 400MMC bus said that Lothian would certainly buy them. Perhaps brown envelopes have taken priority

They did - they trialled a demonstrator for a while before ordering them. I've heard from a reliable source that they are sluggish up hill, especially in comparison to a Omnicity DD. That's because their Omnicity's have 270HP I have just found details of a Streetdeck demonstator delivered to Brighton in February 2015 - "one of the Wright StreetDeck demonstrators is with Brighton & Hove, in silver livery, registration number SN64 CTU". So it would appear that an order was placed before this demonstrator was received as first deliveries were in April.

Brighton trialled a Streetlite for a while like with any buses they order so I don't understand cynicism behind your point. I am assuming you mean Streetdeck. I had no knowledge of a trial vehicle being in Brighton and as the deliveries arrived at the same time as the trial ones for London I asked a group covering the area and the replies appear to indicate that no trial vehicle had been in service. Anyway what can be the result of trialling just one bus - why was'nt a 400MMC or the new Optare tried. My cynicism stems from that info and that Wrightbus now appears to be the choice rather than a particular chassis. If you have the details of the trialled vehicle I would be interested.

That's because their Omnicity's have 270HP The route they are running on to Eastbourne has steeper hills than in Brighton which makes it all more puzzling if they had a trial vehicle.
