Won’t be happening, ever (well at least this design). Can’t go through the tunnel as it doesn’t have end doors. Best you get is the cast-offs from the North London line when their 5 car 710s go into service.

What is the official turn for a Sunday 357 at Whipps Cross Hospital? I see them stood In various places when I drive past on Sundays, including places that would have involved going through a No Entry sign near Outpatients to use a turning loop for cars the wrong way.

It’s a rubbish article. Even says the train will have some transverse (back to back) seating, when we know the entire 710 order was changed to be side seating only.

Heaven forbid I express my opinion in a forum, Sid. And what a surprise you’re the troll to criticise, as per.

I know this is a fantasy thread but my view is that there is no need to bring the suffix lettering back. Why not? Because passengers are inherently stupid, as a group (as opposed to some individuals within that group who know what they’re doing) They can’t cope with reading a destination properly for short workings, so how do you think they’d manage 12, 12A, 12B and god knows what else turning up? They’d see the number 12 and that’d be it. Far better for distinct numbers for each.

Why? Under the new regime, the front door is used for boarding only. The middle and rear doors are used for alighting. And how are passengers meant to know this initially?? The third door will not be used What does that have to do with your incorrect statement that the third door will not open in the post I quoted? It will, but not for boarding. I totally agree that it needs to be publicised and doing it route by route is a recipe for disaster and confusion, but that’s a different point entirely.

I assume the rear door will have some type of warning sticker advising the door will not open. Why? Under the new regime, the front door is used for boarding only. The middle and rear doors are used for alighting.

Nice to see something different, but my goodness only its mother could love it - it looks like a tank. The windscreen is too shallow, should go down as far as the fleetname part of the body.
I also spy LED blinds and camera mirrors.

Interesting today. 710s on consecutive services. We’re on the 1333 from Barking. The train going in that we passed before Woodgrange Park, which would form the 1348 was also a 710. In the last few weeks that would usually have been a 378.

I think it only works if you are signed into Facebook and a member of the Go Ahead London enthusiasts group, sorry Yup, it's a closed group so you have to be a member to see the content. Feel free to sign up. And I’m sorry with no disrespect intended, this is the problem with Facebook taking over from established things like Yahoo Groups. Everything is all over the place now, why should people have to sign up to The Londoner, this site, a Go Ahead Facebook group and probably all manner of others just to get a whole picture of what’s going on. If only we had, I don’t know, a single source for everything. That would be just peachy.

It worked last night, much preferred to the Matt Le Blanc years (with or without Chris). The filmed stuff flowed better between the three of them, as the camaraderie in the studio felt a bit forced. Not surprising as it's the first one though.

How are you going to do a quick trip on the RV1 tomorrow when it gets withdrawn after service today?

It's not a surprise at all that they are selling up. Their press release states that their core business is now the US, as FirstStudent and FirstTransit are the areas 'which have the greatest potential to generate sustainable value and growth over time'. The UK bus market is too volatile and in decline - the profits margins that operators once had have gone, and so have their passengers. You could argue of course that one is linked to the other - overly high profit margins meant too-high fares, less investment in equipment which in turn led to a loss of its customer base.

Why? How many variants of a bus livery are there in the world? Did he sue Travel de Courcey for using Brighton & Hove’s livery? Did Lothian sue YourBus for copying their livery?
My take ... it’s very smart and stands out from the other operators in Manchester.
