Because he has some sort of agenda against the western section of Crossrail whilst conveniently forgetting how bad the eastern part was under TfL Rail as told to myself by many local users from the Romford & Harold Wood areas who struggled to rely on the service. And how much years ago was that. Most of that was the end of Greater Anglia, WAGN etc term and the start of TfL Rail. Since 2017, the line has been improved massively. The western part has stayed the same abysmal service as what the TfL Rail used to be like. No it wasn’t - it was poor under TfL Rail over in East London not at the beginning but throughout TfL’s Rail tenure pre pandemic as I’ve not only witnessed for myself but had more local people tell me how bad it was.

Well I have first hand experience I have used it. My misses used it for the past 9 years as a daily commute into central London and never had problems with it then either. Most of it was the initial TfL Rail phase. When the first class 345's came on the route, and some of the faulty 315's were taken off the line was hugely improved. I cannot fault it, compared to the abomination in the west, which lasts for hours at times.

It certainly hugely improved, but that doesn't wipe out the fact that initially it was a disastrous service and the names "TfL Fail" and "Sh*tfield Metro" didn't come out of nowhere. Its only become a viable option lately for me, prior to that you were better off using the 25 and 86 as opposed to using the line.

I have seen loads over the years with Jubilee, Central, District, Northern etc. The most common over used tasteless one is misery line. It also had a lot of people hate the skipping non busier stations and clowns that do not bother to listen to announcements then miss their station because of this, then complain. Or the ones that wait at the wrong platform.

I literally said aside from my own limited observations, that people I know who actually live on the line and use it daily have reported the exact same thing so well done to you for having first hand experience but don't just write off my view because it doesn't stack with yours. Very interesting how little has been reported about the western section in comparison other than the last year...

Interestingly doesn't show the Liverpool Street peak hour shorts as not running via Whitechapel into the main line platforms (ie showing Liverpool Street as an interchange for them)

Interestingly doesn't show the Liverpool Street peak hour shorts as not running via Whitechapel into the main line platforms (ie showing Liverpool Street as an interchange for them) The map is very misleading - as you say, doesn’t show the peak workings to Liverpool Street mainline nor does it show that the rest of the Shenfield line services only going as far west as Paddington until May next year

Interestingly doesn't show the Liverpool Street peak hour shorts as not running via Whitechapel into the main line platforms (ie showing Liverpool Street as an interchange for them) The service will only have two trains in the peaks. Doesn't need to waste space on the map. The Overground also runs two trains a day to Battersea Park and is not shown for that reason.

Unlike the trains to Liverpool Street which would be a touch more crowded so could have been easily done through those dotted / dashed lines

Very nice. I know it’s not a ‘proper’ tube, but I do think the Lizzy line deserves to be a solid colour on both this map and on the tube map, such is its importance. As for the worry that capitalomnibus has about the joining of the western section to the core, I shall be a regular Saturday commuter from Abbey Wood to Ealing Broadway soon, so I shall get back to you on that! 😂

Fair comment but what about why the line from Shenfield depicts as if it runs beyond Paddington when it won't until May next year?

I have compiled a list of all the disruptions from the Elizabeth line and when it was TfL Rail for this year. I don not have time to do previous years. But the extent of what I was saying the West service is terrible, seems like a lot of this was also there IIRC with Heathrow Connect service and Heathrow Express. I have not included police incident, passenger incident, track obstruction, trespasser etc.
The West has 29 incidents, East has 11 incidents.

From their perspective they probably want people to use the core section and change there.

I definitely share capitalomnibus concerns about reliability on the Western section. I can see a lot of Abbey Wood trains curtailed to Paddington during times of disruption on the Western section.
