No it wasn’t - it was poor under TfL Rail over in East London not at the beginning but throughout TfL’s Rail tenure pre pandemic as I’ve not only witnessed for myself but had more local people tell me how bad it was. Well I have first hand experience I have used it. My misses used it for the past 9 years as a daily commute into central London and never had problems with it then either. Most of it was the initial TfL Rail phase. When the first class 345's came on the route, and some of the faulty 315's were taken off the line was hugely improved. I cannot fault it, compared to the abomination in the west, which lasts for hours at times. Tbf whilst it has improved there are still delays a lot of the time that are not shown on the list you put up , just up to two or three weeks ago there were no trains in the morning due to overrunning engineering works The main problem is the infrastructure and due to the busy nature of the line with GA and LO also using the GE lines a delayed train in Southend or Enfield can have a knock on effect on the Elizabeth line so once it's all connected that's going to extend to a delayed train in Cardiff possibly having a knock on effect in Shenfield .

The service will only have two trains in the peaks. Doesn't need to waste space on the map. The Overground also runs two trains a day to Battersea Park and is not shown for that reason. Fair comment but what about why the line from Shenfield depicts as if it runs beyond Paddington when it won't until May next year? I suppose it’s for simplicity reasons having to depict a second line on the core section or having to create a map that is only valid for 6 months. There are similar situations on the underground where the map may depict a through service but in reality it is very limited. For example for the central line, West Ruislip branch services in the main, serve the Epping branch with limited services going to Hainault and vice versa with the Ealing Broadway branch. The Wimbledon branch of the District line has limited services to Upminster.

My Elizabeth line train towards Paddington made a new announcement at Whitechapel today to change there for trains towards Reading and Heathrow! Wonder if that was a mistake or that announcement will be used for trains that are turning short at Paddington after the changes tomorrow?
I don’t imagine most passengers would think to change at Whitechapel.

Was on the line at Liverpool street earlier and announcement said "change for national rail services towards Stanstead and Southend Airport" sure this is also new.

Yes I herd this too and couldn’t remember if it was new. I’m was surprised no new maps seem to have been installed yet but maybe they will be done overnight.

Agreed, that's what I thought...much easier to solve the problem of transfer pax 'out east' rather than at TCR or Bond Street...particularly on a weekend

Not sure if it’s a result of the Elizabeth Line now gong underground at Liverpool Street but I’m seeing a lot of London Overground services for Chingford terminating at Platform 14-17. May just be because of match day?
EDIT: Stansted Airport trains also using platforms normally used for Elizabeth Line.

That suggests to me that Network Rail is doing work which has closed the low-numbered platforms.
