First time using the Elizabeth Line from Stratford since being extended to Paddington and noticing lots of delayed trains. Having said that there are also trains cancelled on the Abbey Wood branch which is unusual so could just be a bad day.
On a separate note I have noticed the tissue sellers and beggars are back in force on the line.

I was using it on Tuesday and whilst there were cancellations, the line ran pretty decent at the western end. However, the line has struggled a bit more as the week pressed on

315856 and 315847 yesterday operated The Branch Line Society organised 'The Class 315 Commemorative Event', to commemorate the outstanding years of service provided by the Class 315’s. (NOT a farewell railtour) as likely to appear in service for another couple of weeks.

This week so far. 26th passenger issue so no service between Paddington and Slough / West Drayton 25th no service between Hayes & Reading, Hayes to Heathrow Central 24th no service Paddington and Hayes and Harlington stations to Slough 23rd no service Paddington and Abbey Wood, Slough and Maidenhead 22nd no service Gidea Park and Shenfield

I use the line everyday and the Shenfield services are always in a total state while the Abbey Wood ones tend to be the better operating one.

Exactly, I mean I could of literally glossed over the problems over the week at the western end to suit my original point but didn’t to provide balance. This place is becoming extremely frustrating with the large amounts of hypocrisy happening on here, no wonder members are dropping like flies

I am not talking about delays, this is down to service failures where you cannot get on a train and would have to seek alternatives.

Delays and service failures are both in the same bracket, delays are still very much a service failure. The only difference is West is a big issue every now and again while the East is a daily poor performance. I literally have to use the line heading east everyday.

Will there ever be a night service on the Elizabeth line? I think this could be useful, certainly between Paddington and Abbey Wood which would allow people to travel home from the city and connect to the nightly GWR train

There probably would be a demand for a weekend night crosselizpurp line in the future, but it would probably be limited to the Core

There are trains at 01.34 and 03.34 on all mornings except Saturday night/Sunday morning. There are also late night/early morning arrivals from Reading. I hope that TfL influence will lead to better weekend night trains to Reading and operating through to and from the Crossrail core.

Going back a decade or two, after big nights out in London (and I think then there was an odd train in the middle of night) had to get to Paddington for the 'last' train west which was the 0020 departure that's still hard coded in my memory and was always packed...

I think this could be useful, certainly between Paddington and Abbey Wood which would allow people to travel home from the city and connect to the nightly GWR train I hope so but right now it's not looking likely but never say never. If it did come I think it would run a 30 min night service between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 5. But let the daytime Elizabeth Line service run first and then introduce the final phase in May and let's see if the demand is valid enough for a night service.

Interestingly enough, Elizabeth Line rail replacement service UL51 is scheduled to operate during the night of the 31st December (Presumably Stratford - Romford will also operate), no idea why but it is a one off it seems

I use the East service daily myself and do not find any problems. The only delays are freight trains crossing the lines, or trains entering or leaving Ilford depot. This tends to happen between Forest Gate and Stratford. The Ilford depot train delays tends to be in the evening and would be around 3-5 minute loss. The freight train delays are variable, between 2-8 minutes. The East was one of the BEST run services in the country recently
