They would be unlikely to serve Eden Street twice as they’d have to navigate the whole new way system and it would add so much time to the running. So just once and then straight to stop outside Tiffin Boys. Makes sense to limit the amount of vehicles stopping at those temporary stops. Personally I think not having a common stop for the 213/x26 is a bit of a mistake, often people will choose whichever one turns up first.

Where are all the buses actually going to stand when the bus station is closed? It's been closed before when some roadworks were done blocking the entrance Some buses stand in Kingsgate Road, alongside the car park. The little used stop in Sury Basin gets used, there are also little used stands in Birkenhead Avenue. From memory there is also a stand in Clarence Street adjacent to the bus stop, and a stand in Wood Street at end of row of stops.

Where are all the buses actually going to stand when the bus station is closed? I'm fairly sure these will be the standing arrangements but could be slightly off: 111/216/285/411/481 - Kingston Station existing stand and stop R on Wood Street. 71/406/418/465 - right turn lane (from the start to the car park exit) on Kingsgate Road. K1 - Sury Basin. Non TfL routes - Birkenhead Avenue.

E3 is not as busy as it once was (about 15 years ago had 17 routes on the tiles, including 2 pairs on a tile as TfL stops can't physically hold more than 5 rows of 3), but still got 13 or 14 routes serving it.

I can foresee the stops on Eden Street and Wood Street descending into total chaos when these closures begin due to the sheer number of people who will be boarding and alighting buses (and Eden Street is already chaos as it is, it needs to be closed southbound with routes stopping at Fairfield Bus Station instead).

Personally I think all buses using Eden Street should stop instead on Wheatfield Way with Eden Street fully closed beyond Ashdown Road. It would make things so much simpler and considerably quicker. I’m pretty sure it was mooted by the council long before the mini-Holland project but sadly never happened.

A few remarks on these changes:
I do think that they've split the routes between temporary stops PW and RC correctly with PW for routes towards Surbiton/Ham and RC towards Roehampton. However the X26/SL7 is the one I take issue with - why could it not serve bus stop B round the corner to use the same stop as routes 131 and 213 for journeys to New Malden/Worcester Park/Cheam/Sutton? I understand with the frequency increase people will just wait for the SL7 but for shorter journeys the 213 or 131 may be just as quick, accounting for a shorter wait time. The K5 and N87 matter less as they will continue to serve bus stop B. Users of the SL7 from Heathrow changing in Kingston could still alight at Wood Street and walk through to Eden Street.
This brings me onto the next point: E3, as said, should not be used as the last stop for 5 routes. It will only serve to cause immense congestion on Eden Street, especially considering there is a bus stop directly opposite. Could the routes terminating on Kingsgate Road not terminate at stop T, at least that has a bay for buses to stop, with the route standing at Sury Basin drop off there? The former would maintain more links to Kingston Station and the latter would ensure bus stop T does not become too congested. Alternatively E1 could be used for terminating routes with route 281 instead serving E2 or E3. (515 is a terminating route)
Regarding route 281, continuing to serve bus stop Q appears to be a recipe for disaster. If a bus is standing at stop Q, where does the 281 stop? It'll end up in the middle of the road so route 281 should be moved to serve bus stop T like the X26/SL7 does.
Next, why is route K1 not serving temp stop PW like all other southbound routes starting from Kingston? Is it due to terminate at Fairfield Bus Station, in which case it should serve the bus station there in both directions?
Finally, does anyone know where the non-TfL routes are standing? I assume route 461 will stand with the TfL routes crossing Kingston Bridge at Wood Street (opp Kingston Station) but what about the 458/513/514/515/715?

Routes 111 and 285 will be standing in Birkenhead Avenue Guessing there's going to be some significantly widened headways then, since buses will have to run all the way down London Road up to the new Lidl then turn into Birkenhead Avenue to stand, and then back around Queen Elizabeth Road, Fairfield North and Clarence Street around to Kingston Station. Presumably the 216, 411 and 481 will stand at the Kingston Station stand on Wood Street.

Routes 111 and 285 will be standing in Birkenhead Avenue Ah - that’s my assumption of the non-TfL routes (458, 513/4/5, 715) standing there blown out of the water - I cannot for the life of me think where they’ll fit in?

No knowledge of non Tfl routes so cannot say. Think a lot of widened headways going on, or extra bus if Tfl can afford it. First stop for those routes will be Wood Street though, so any other works will mean severe delays and probably buses being curtailed away from Kingston.

Standing arrangements (from what I saw signposted in Kingston today):
71, 111, 285, 465 - Birkenhead Avenue 216, 411, 481 - Kingston Station K1 - Fairfield Bus Station
406 and 418 are presumably standing at Sury Basin but I didn't see any signs for them.
