I think there should be more than just the 108 connecting East & South East London via the Blackwall Tunnel. I think something via the Dartford Crossing is a bigger priority, Bexleyheath to Lakeside for example. It would be a nice link to have if you can sort out the awful congestion that occurs.

I think there should be more than just the 108 connecting East & South East London via the Blackwall Tunnel. Think there needs to be more bridges/tunnels linking East London to South East London, like the Belvedere Bridge for example. At least the Garden bridge at temple didn’t get made. That would have been a waste of money But seriously, more river crossings are needed. Wonder if the 473 can be extended using the Woolwich ferry to Woolwich arsenal? That would’ve an interesting one

Either walk through the foot tunnel or use the ferry as a foot passenger.

I know - but a bridge in those parts somewhere would be great. And we can have a feast on routes we can think of!

I hope the Overground is extended beyond Barking Riverside to Thamesmead and Abbey Wood. Sadly that's unlikely to happen any time soon

I hope the Overground is extended beyond Barking Riverside to Thamesmead and Abbey Wood. Sadly that's unlikely to happen any time soon I know there's certainly a proposal to send it to Thamesmead, however this involves re-siting Barking Riverside Station underground and apparently provision is being made for this to happen at a future date much like was the case with Island Gardens on the DLR. However the difference here is the viaduct Barking Riverside Station will sit on is going to be brand new, so I imagine it'll stick around for a while yet.

Route 36 withdrawn between New Cross and Peckham, also between Paddington and Queens Park. Frequency reduced to 10 minutes Mon-Sat daytime, 15 minutes evenings and Sundays. Route 171 withdrawn between Bellingham and Brockley Rise and between Camberwell and Elephant and Castle but rerouted from Camberwell to Victoria Coach Station (via Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace Road, frequency reduced to 10 minutes Mon-Sat 15 minutes Sundays and evenings. Route 172 extended from Brockley Rise to Bellingham, replacing withdrawn section of 171. New route 82 Wilsden Junction Station to Victoria Station via Kensal Green and Queens Park then current route 36. Frequency 7-8 minutes Mon-Sat daytime, 15 minutes evenings and Sundays.

Why would you propose cutting one of the busiest trunk routes of SE London, no gain at all in this

You're proposing to recreate the 36A, always the poor relation of the 36 group. I agree there may come a time when traffic conditions militate against a direct link from north of Paddington to south of Victoria, but I hope that time doesn't come too soon.

Ironically, the corridor between Marble Arch & Camberwell isn't too bad to run along traffic wise so I don't think that time will come for a long while yet.

I don't get what your trying to achieve here in all honesty - the 36 does a good job and I don't think regulars would appreciate the severe hacking you've done to it. The 171 & 172 proposals make little sense either.

The 36 should stay untouched, if anything I’d restore the Paddington section of the 436, aside from that until recently the 36/136/436 group routes worked pretty well together

In an ideal world the 53 would be restored to Oxford Street, or Trafalgar Square at the very least, I’d extend the 453 to Camden or Parliament Hill Fields, restoring the old 53 routing and creating a much needed SE-N/NW London link.
Extend the 160 to either Forest Hill or to Brockley, the further create cross SE London links an N160 could run from Lewisham at weekends if there is demand.
I mentioned in a earlier post about a Woolwich to Docklands bus route via Blackwall Tunnel, how feasible would and extension to the 472 be? I know the Jubilee line sort of serves this purpose and CrossRail from Abbey Wood would also fill the gap, but with buses being cheaper, low income commuters should have alternatives too
