Some ideas : As before service from Southall to Osterly Tesco via Norwood Green and Tentelow Lane.Maybe extend to West Midd Hospital via Syon Lane Extend E1 to Greenford Station and West Cross E6 cut back to Hayes and Harlington Station 235 Extend to Ealing Broadway N7 Extend to Ruislip via Eastcote Lane and Victoria Road Plesse discuss What's the reasoning for these extentions and new route? The links below is to the Withdrawn routes / new route ideas is new routes and extensions and Fantasy bus extensions is for fantasy bus routes: linklink

They would give new links in Ealing Borough pre Crossrail. Mattock Lane could also do with a bus service and round Walpole Park area. The 65 is very heavily loaded between Brentford and Ealing Broadway it needs help by extending 235 from North Brentford.

Wouldn’t it be better to a route with double deckers to act as relief for the 65 and not a route with single deckers.

Single door single deckers on the E10 assisting the busy and unreliable 65 is a recipe for disaster

E1 could be extended to Brentford Half Acre to relieve 65.

E1 could be extended to Brentford Half Acre to relieve 65. No need, Boston Manor Rd would be over busssed, the 195 and E8 do well enough. E1 was originally split as part of the E-Line Routes back in 1990 as it was too long and not so reliable (it ran from Greenford to Brentford County Court). It was cut back to Ealing Broadway and E8 does Ealing Broadway to Hounslow just fine PS 65 is a little further east using Ealing Road before heading towards Kew Bridge, nowhere near Half Acre

But why? I think his argument is that the E1 should be extended via South Ealing Road to assist the 65. Is there a stand at Brentford Half Acre because the County Court could always be used if not I used to live in Brentford, the Half Acre is a short stretch of road from the junction of the A315 High Street (half being refurbished on the southern side) past Goddards and the old police station. No stand space, nearest is the County Court, already well populated by the 195, 235 (short workings when bollards fail at North Brentford Quarter) and E2. Most E1 passengers won't mind boarding the 65 at where the E1 finishes and 65 starts at Haven Green, Ealing Broadway. Traffic gets dicey at certain times passing through South Ealing towards the roundabout by the Great West Road (A4), so a fantasy extension would only cause chaos junction with Popes Lane / Little Ealing Road is notorious In his defence the 65 is pretty lousy at times due to length of route and PVR, in an area of high car use in affluent Kew, Richmond and Kingston but it would only support less than a quarter of the route after turning right out of Ealing Rd by the McDonalds, a few metres to the stand by the County Court and Morrison's. Not sure how easy the left turn out of Half Acre onto the High Street is for the E400H's on the E1 for its return to Greenford

The 65 is notable for having 2 buses in a minute then nothing for 20 minutes. It urgently does need help the 235 seems more logical solution evrn if single decked. I him the problem with 65 is the run between Richmond and Kew Bridge always heavy traffic

I him the problem with 65 is the run between Richmond and Kew Bridge always heavy traffic Sending the 235 to Ealing is not logical in its current form. What if the 235 become popular and becomes overloaded itself? Why does the 235 have to go to Ealing? Why can’t the E1 or E9 be extended Brentford County Court via the 65 and the 235 or send it further to Osterley Tesco’s? Sending a route with single deckers to Ealing via the 65 makes no sense because it will get overloaded itself and believe it will. It would be fine if the 235 had double deckers or was converted to double deck but at the moment that’s not possible due to residents in the Sunbury area.
