If I may hijack the thread for two minutes, please. While I was at HK, I managed to drive all of OS 1-27 at least once, and not just round the yard. However, 25 were in TfL service, the other 2 not so. Any guesses? Will answer tomorrow if anyone is interested. OS1 (YJ08DXH) used on the Olympic Park shuttle and OS17 (YJ60LRX) used on one of the hospital shuttles in Central London. Can't get nothing past you! Except the only time I drove OS 1 was when I took it back from HK to the leasing company near Leicester, when we were finally done with it. You will recall that OS 18 was also an NHS contract bus, but was painted red and went to TfL service. The narrow door and manual ramp were not popular. OS 17 was used as a spare donor for a while, until the time they had to put all back together for returning to the leasers.

We managed a full electric allocation yesterday on the Nightbus and only 1 rounder was a diesel bus on the whole yesterdays 86 service. Impressive stuff 😀 Are you able to share how it was done? Was it a parking or charging issue which needed to be fixed?

It will be eventually, 257 to LI is only a temporary move and it allows the Electroliners starts being used on the route without having them sitting in storage gathering dust while they wait for T to be have the chargers ready. Stagecoach are much better at making use of stored buses than some companies * cough Metroline*. Talking about that, I am worried in case routes 83 & 297 do not have their WDEs in service by next July

So will the 257 be moving to LI next weekend, or the week after? The week after Did not know the 257 was going to move. It would of made sense to wait until December when it would have been back to its normal routing as it is currently terminating at T. Also, why did it not move when its new contract started?

Probably been mentioned/explained on here before, but will it convert then? I don't think T has charging facilities yet

Probably been mentioned/explained on here before, but will it convert then? It will either partially convert with the e400s transferring to LI or will convert fully, we will find out more when the date comes closer

Could just be canteen talk from Rainham drivers but I’m told 10165-73 are due to move to PD for the 422s new contract in exchange for 11 reg E400s in return as newer enviros are required for the 422 contract. Don’t supposed anyone knows anything haven’t seen anything mentioned. The best person to verify this information would definitely be the well-respected, andyc! We can only hope that he sees this post soon! EDIT: Of course, if anyone else does know, they can most definitely reply.

A tad surprised that AW have been stricter with their EVs over LI. Would of expected strays to happen on the W16 & W19 by now! Maybe it is due to the length of the W11s buses? Or because most of CT Plus management is gone.

The Stagecoach Solo's won't be turning up anywhere else in the future! From LOTS Online News The demise of Stagecoach London's Optare Solo fleet is confirmed, the last working recorded on LVF being on 5th October. They are now in the process of being towed away from West Ham garage (WH) for scrap. Ouch, what a way to go

Saw the new E100 EV demonstrator for London, and I must say I was in SHOCK. It makes the Metrocity look far bigger compared to it, it looks like a literal minibus, and the interior is REALLY SMALL, but very nice. I am very concerned as to how they will perform on the W12! I did try telling people it is the equivalent of a van. The wheels are smaller than a lot of cars 17.5", and can't imagine ride quality will be great. It may have 17'5" rims, but the tyre side walls are thicker. Many buses have had these size wheels over the years i.e Metroriders, Merc 709D/811D, Optare Solo etc Many of the cars running wheels with tyres over 17 inch have low profile tyres.

I like vehicles. Buses, trains, cars, all of them. I made a song out of Stagecoach too.

A rare working diesel bus happened on 19785 on the 26 yesterday evening. Was it actually observed? Bustimes.org has it on both the D7 and 26 yesterday evening so there must be a fault in the system somewhere.
