Some Bromley ideas I’ve had in mind: 126 & 320: Merged to operate between Biggin Hill Valley & Eltham Southend Crescent, at 6bph with DD’s. 199: Extended to Bromley Town Centre, using the 126’s stand.

An extension to Lower Sydenham or Crystal Palace would probably be easier to do for the 199. The 126 + 320 idea isn't a bad shout however in a scenario like this.

482: extended to Northwick Park Hospital via route 120 to Lady Margaret Road, Ruislip Road, Route 282 to Greenford Broadway, Greenford Road, Greenford Roundabout, Whitton Avenue West, 487 to South Harrow, 395 to Harrow and H9 to Northwick Park Hospital. To link Lady Margaret Road with Greenford Broadway and to link South Harrow with Greenford Broadway. E2: extended from Greenford Broadway to Greenford Station via Greenford Road and route 105 to Greenford Station. To link Greenford with Ealing. E11: withdrawn between Greenford Avenue and Greenford Broadway. Diverted to Westway Cross via. Ruislip Road East, Route E5 to Argyle Road, Western Avenue, South Greenford Station, Greenford Roundabout, Greenford Road and Green Park Way. To link Hanwell with North Greenford. H14: extended from Northwick Park Hospital to Greenford Broadway via Watford Road, Sudbury Court Drive, Greenford Road and route 92 to Greenford Broadway. To link Greenford with Northwick Park Hospital. H32: extended from Southall to Northolt via 120 to Lady Margaret Road, Kennington Road, a40 slip road, Target Roundabout and 90 to Northolt. To help out the 120. The 120 doesn't need support between Southall and Northolt, it's the section between Hounslow and Southall which is desperately in need of some support/extra capacity - which could either be done by increasing its frequency (which also helps on the Southall to Northolt section too if you believe that needs extra capacity), or potentially a 427 extension to Hounslow but that might overbus the corridor. Additionally it is already planned for the H32 to be extended to Hayes and Harlington through the new Southall Waterside development, so a different extension is not possible. The 482 extension is way too long, I'd recommend a small round the corner extension to Ealing Hospital to provide some new links but nothing more than that.

The H32 is not going to Hayes & Harlington as that extension was scrapped in favour of the 495. So the extension is possible. I disagree the Northolt to Southall to Northolt does need help. As for the 482 extension I don’t believe it is too long.

Oh I see, is there any reason why the stand space issue hasn't been resolved yet? Bromley North Station could absolutely stand to lose some parking spots in favour of more bus standing spaces in my experience of being there, I don't think I've ever seen it full.

Apparently Network Rail would want rather a lot of money for the land at Bromley North.

Probably because nationalised bodies and authorities rely on the 'fleece the motorist philosophy' to balance their budgets and giving up parking spaces means they end up with a budget deficit.

An extension to Lower Sydenham or Crystal Palace would probably be easier to do for the 199. The 126 + 320 idea isn't a bad shout however in a scenario like this. Currently, max running time of the 199 is 67 minutes and Catford Bus Garage to Bromley on the 320 is roughly 15 minutes so that puts it just shy of 100 minutes which isn't ideal but if some padding can be removed from the section south of Catford Bus Garage which is rather free flowing, then you could probably shave some time off. For the 199 to reach Lower Sydenham, it would either have to be diverted at Catford and run via Catford Bridge & Catford Hill or convert to single deckers and run via Southend Lane due to the low bridge at Lower Sydenham. I'd rather something like the 417 run between Palace & Lewisham creating more new links than the 199 myself. As for the 126, I think I'd rather see that reach Woolwich like it previously did but that's just my own preference.

In light of the 45/59/118 proposals:
45 - Withdrawn between Elephant and Camberwell (as already planned) but extended beyond Clapham Park via 355 to Mitcham
59 - unchanged
118 - increased frequency
249 - rerouted from Clapham South via 355 to Brixton
355: withdrawn
