I’m just not sure about the usefulness of the route overall. All the connections are covered to some extent by the 65, E8, E3 and 195. Potentially by the E1 if the Osterley extension ever materialises. Perhaps all that would be needed is an extension to the H28 to Southall Station - potential to even turn the route into a circular. Would be quite handy for Crossrail. Also good for the new secondary school on Syon Lane.

The missing link in the area is to West Middlesex Hospital. Ealing Hospital is no more than a shell these days, many patients are treated at Northwick Park or West Middlesex instead. The 483 plugged the poor connection to Northwick Park, and short extension of the 195 to West Middlesex Hospital would be a fantastic help to patients, their families and hospital staff.

You then cut links to Bank and St Paul’s and there is not route to interchange to at Aldgate to head into the city via Bank. Also don’t forget the importance of the 25 as it’s used a lot by low income worker such as cleaners who head to the city.

I was thinking tfl would probably extend /divert the 115 or 135 to City Thameslink instead but yes I know there is quite a bit of through traffic on the 25. Amazing when you think the slog it is.

Exactly cut the 25 back much further then TfL can just turn around and say the 205, 425 and 86 cover it with a hopper fare change.

Even then, a route along Windmill Lane isn't ideal, I'd imagine it would be a non stop section between Tentelow Lane and Osterley, probably at least as far as Jersey Road, I'd imagine very little people would use that section

First, the country is not the same as it was in 1991 and as many have predicted traffic levels in the outer boroughs is likely to increase over the next few years as hybrid working becomes more normalised so having excessively long routes in the outer boroughs would do nothing. If anything we will need slightly shorter routes to support likely increased traffic levels in outer suburban London rather than mega routes we are likely to see in central London. Second, you started this whole conversation. If you don’t like it why mention these routes at all. Third, I happen to agree with what was said. There is nothing wrong with the 37/337/H37 corridor and all three work well. The H37 feeds passengers to Richmond for the tube, the 337 is designed to support the adjacent rail line and at capacity routes along the same corridor like the 33 and 493, both of which are unsuitable for double deckers in their full length form and the 37 is arguable a decent orbital link.

Based on how TFL seem to have literally reviewed the amount of capacity on certain roads I wouldn't be surprised if another area up for consideration could be Lordship Lane (40/176/185/197).

Something could happen along the lines of the 40 extended to Forest Hill and diverted to TCR at Elephant with the 176 discontinued and left to a slightly boosted 40 and 197.

The 45 could re extend as far as Farrigdon or left to the 63.

Sorry but these are some of the most ridiculous changes ever. Theres zero reason to combine the 32 and 316. Not to mention the fact that DDs can't go past North Kensington or the fact its too long but why does Queensbury need a link with White City..? 186 to Ealing Broadway also does not make any sense what so ever. I can't imagine any of this working especially considering you plan to cut both 316 and 332 when they are there to provide support to both 16 and 32..?

The 176 and 197 do duplicate each other for quite a distance. I think the 176 could be curtailed at Dulwich with the 40 doing Elephant & Castle to Penge but via Lower Sydenham, although the 356 would have to be changed. I think the Farringdon bit could be left to the 63.
