How many times do I need to tell you that it isn't! If you go back to 2020 when this thread was set up, look at page 1: the same argument was had then, i.e., this thread was just another fantasy thread.

Route running between Paddington and Aldgate. Via: *Eastbourne Terrace *route 23 to Hyde Park Corner *Grosvenor Place *route 148 to Westminster Bridge *Westminster Bridge Road *Addington Street *York Road *route 381 to London Bridge *route 343 to Aldgate Purpose: To link stations and to support the Circle line. Kind of like how the 205 does with the parts of the Circle line. I kind of see what you are getting at, but there are plenty of alternatives close by, both rail and bus, to at least get close to the southern part of the Circle, even if there are a few changes along the way, so I’m not sure it’s really required.

455 - no longer withdrawn. Would run between Wallington and Croydon Town Centre. To retain lost links in the Waddon Marsh/Therapia Lane area to Croydon
S4 - would no longer run to Waddon Marsh. Would only operate between Belmont station and Roundshaw.
166 - would no longer run via Pampisford Road
312 - would be diverted via Pampisford Road instead of Brighton Road. To retain lost links on the 455 between Croydon and Purley
197 - would be extended to South Croydon bus garage. To free stand space for the 455 and to retain lost links on the 312

And yet some people will choose a bus over that's why routes like the 25 and 18 have remained busy. Some people would rather get stuck in the traffic rather than take the tube. What on earth? I've never met a person who likes getting stuck in traffic. Where are you getting this idea from? Regarding the 25 and 18 being busy well they are trunk routes and also link to places that are further from train stations The 205 and the section of the Tube it parallels also serves much more disadvantaged areas in comparison to the southern side of the Circle Line, so this is a factor in its popularity. I do think a route serving the southern side of the Circle line would be popular, although most of it can be done by using existing links such as the 9, 23 and 26, and the areas it serves are mostly more well off when compared to the northern side.

To free stand space for the 455 and to retain lost links on the 312 The 312 would give 9bph along Pampisford Road with the 405 which is a bit excessive and the 197 would have to terminate at South End being a GAL route.

I really like the idea of a better bus link to London Bridge from the west but with the Jubilee Line offering much faster links to the likes of Waterloo and Westminster as well as frequent trains to Charing Cross a slower bus route isn't exactly going to set the world alight. Even the 381's loadings between Waterloo and London Bridge aren't anything to write home about, from my experiences anyway.

Yes but the 171 used to do something similar at Catford Garage It wouldn't be possible at TC, there's no forecourt like there is at Catford Garage. I had a few ideas for Croydon which I'll post later if I can find the beer mat I scribbled them down on.

How many times do I need to tell you that it isn't! You can say as many times as you want I believe that this is a fantasy thread. Then you are deliberately being awkward and creating drama. Last night between you two was bad enough to read. Maybe save us the pain and PM each other to discuss.
